Is there a reason that when I jack up the rear of my car my secondary springs remain completely compressed? I am assuming that the shock is fully extended. I don't know if this is some sort of special set up but to me it makes no sense. I have not read the billions of threads about coilovers yet but I am guessing that by the time I read up to spring rates, my eyes will be completely glazed over anyways

Any insight will be great.

does the spring touch top and bottom or is it loose?

There are 2 springs. The main and secondary. The secondary is pressed completely down (like coil to coil down). The primary is under enough pressure that I can barely turn the adjustment nut or whatever its called. Tightening it does not open the shocks it just creates more pressure.
