The car put down 380awhp on EFI Logic's Mustang dyno, and the awesome tune was done by Matt from Dent Sport Garage.

The Hush is awesome, its the only catback I have owned for any of my Subies over the years. Very deep low rumble at normal speeds, but still gets fairly loud when you get on it. The one on my Outback is a bit louder then most, no cats and custom made to be 3inch all the way through. No idea about the DB level.

I also have an OBS OEM roof spoiler freshly painted, which is much smaller then the JDM roof spoiler. Just have to figure out how to get it on sense you cant buy the mounting parts from the dealership anymore. :unamused:

I need gauges, to this day I dont even have a boost gauge... I have no idea what is going on in my car! :lol:

Defi's are really ****ing expensive! Any of you guys have good luck with Prosport's or STRI's? Im on the fence about just buying the Defi's or taking a gamble with something cheaper.

STRI gauges are the exact same as Defi's. back story on the STRI gauges is the guy who does these used to be half owner of Defi. they split ways and he started STRI gauges :up:

I had a brand new Subaru 2.5 shortblock built with various custom internals, just to give it some strength. Im also adding the EL header, meth kit, cams, and all sorts of small parts. I really hope to have the car running strong within the next month, and cant wait to drive it.

Motor is in the car and running, just waiting for the meth kit, gauges, and some other small things to get installed. Once its done I will still need to put the horrid 1000 miles on the motor before EFI will tune it. :unamused:

One of the problems we ran into was the limited space towards the front of the car, but through some trial and error EFI was able to figure out a way to squeeze the larger Perrin manifold, radiator fans, radiator, and frontmount all in there. Im real happy how it all came out.

One of those big rotated gt35r's probably, but we will see. I have been really happy with the FPred, and might attempt to reach my goal with it.

Im not too sure how the rotated turbo's fit in my smaller body style Subaru, I know its pretty tight under the hood. Im not going to worry about that until next summer though.

I have had various small problems that set my car back from completion, but Im pretty sure nothing else can go wrong!


Had a battery die, which is always a brief pain.

Car was running really crappy due to the blow-thru, so I had the MAF removed from the intercooler pipe and welded to the intake.

A mysterious fuel problem came up well tuning, which ended up being an issue with the harness that the car has had all along... extremely happy that EFI was able to identify and fix this problem.


Now, after about a month of tinkering out these small problems the car was back on the dyno this week for the final tune. Put down about 410whp on an easy tune with no meth! Added the meth, and guess what.... ANOTHER ****ING PROBLEM!

I like this problem though... lets just say that the Outback is putting down power well over our expectations, and to complete the tuning EFI needs to install a dual fuel-pump setup. :eek:

Im picking the car up next week, Ill let you guys know what the final numbers are!

When I was researching this about a year ago, results seemed to be hit or miss. Either you set it up and it worked for you. Or you spent the next year tinkering with it. Oh well...

Yes, that is the Borla Hush. If I was losing power by runnning the Hush it would be a fairly small amount, and I dont think I would ever notice the difference.

Yeah, thats how I like it. A nice deep rumble when cruising, nothing that really stands out, but all hell breaks loose when I get on it. Adds to the sleeper aspect!

With finals at school and my job, things have been going slow with the wagon. Compression test was good, boost test was good. Decided to bring it back to EFI, Im sure they will have the problem figured out in no time.

Brought her home today, she runs really good. Made the switch from opensource to the Accessport V2, the brand new tune came out even better than the old one. I could tell Chris put a ton of work into it, even drove it home a few nights to test it on the street.

Congrats! R32s are pretty fun, I wish the paddles were bigger though. Does yours have NAV? I was blown away that you can either use NAV OR listen to a CD at once. Crazy Germans.
