Hey, been a while since a posted but I'm been having a little trouble with my car and could use a little help. My car is a 2002 wrx with 147,xxx miles shes gettin old but had been running fine until it went into the shop for the fuel line recall. We got the car back from the shop and the day after my car had a cel. The code was p0171 lean fuel bank1 correct me if I'm wrong. I did some research and found people saying clean maf and change spark plugs. Me and my dad change the plugs today (tereble idea it was freezing) and cleaned the maf with crc maf cleaner. Everything went fairly smooth few bloody fingers but we got it done and the car started and was running normal. I took the car to the mall and when I got home cel p0171 same code so what should the next things I should look at to solve this? Thanks for any help you can provide Chris.

Well calling the dealer will be my next step. I have an update too, so the bigeye fuel leak thing when we brought it in the gas smell when away finally but last night I was going to the mall with this girl and she asked me why it smelt like gas in the car I explained to her what was going on (felt like I was talking to a wall though) but I didn't smell the fuel until we parked and and I let my car idle for a few mins and guess what I could smell again so I will be calling the dealership as soon as I'm out of work. We brought it to the dealership in north Hampton by my fathers choice not mine but I havnt heard great things about them. Well thanks again any more imput would be greatly appreciated Chris

they probably didn't tighten the manifold well enough. vac leak somewhere. cracked rubber hose, etc.
