i might be miss understanding something, but why doesn't any one make aftermarket struts for my 2006 sti? im tring to decided to put my tein s type springs on or get those fancy BC racing ER coilovers. I was figuring if i where to use the springs i should get new struts too just so its all new and fresh. but yaa theres none to be found.

Not even KYB? I highly doubt that... Well actually I do know of one aftermarket one... but it's PRICEY! I haven't seen much else though. I know everyone raves about the BC's but personally, I don't like them. They are just a different paint Megan Racing junk IMO.

Yeah...:unamused: May have even been a little higher. If i find any I'll try to let you know. I"ll stick to the OEM struts for a while while I balance out the car once it's streetable.

Yep that's what they were. :(
Personally if you go with coilovers I'd suggest getting a custom set of Bilsteins. The right place will set you up with EXACTLY the specs you want and for not too bad a price and still manage to be streetable.

I would say go with the BC's honestly. Sure they are an entry level coil over, but unlike most every other brand out there you can send 'em back to be "rebuilt" CHEAP.(Pretty sure they just send you a new one, and it's like $100 a corner or something)
If you are just starting out, words like Ohlin's, Showa, KW and Endura-tec shouldn't even be in your brains. Sure they are the cream of the crop but can cost almost 3k to buy, install and have set up correctly.
If you want the name of four people I personally know with BC's to pm them about their experience, let me know!

Oh and you will probably spend close to a grand on a nice spring/strut combo, and no have the option to rebuild when the let go, or the height and stiffness adjustment options.
Love your avatar btw.

MEMEMEME!! i love my BC coilovers! the ride is really good. the overall performance is great and all for under a 1000 bucks. def the way to go! So easy to tune them in for your ride likings too! I had been dreading the drop on the front end because when i piut them in they sat too high in the front...but after all i just lowered the front the other day and it took like not even ten mins!! Go for BC's IMO
