disassembly right now. Once i can get some funds, a wrecked STi will be purchased. Then I am going to swap motor, tranny, and full drivetrain into it. So this project wont be quick, but will be awesome when done. Going to try and do as much work myself as possible too, with help from people on here.

I am building it for rocks. Not a fan of mud. I have a HUGE list of things to do to finish the truck. I am planning on linking the front and rear.

 I have always wanted to drop an STI motor in the Jeep. The 350 was wayyyy more simple.

Yea, the cool thing about the dakota and the Sti, they have the same track width. the wheelbase is 30 inches longer, but nothing a custom driveshaft cant fix. and then the need for new motor and tranny mounts, but that is the same with most engine swaps.

someone probably posted a link to it on craigslist or something. I just got mine finished late last year so we have not really been out much, that should change this year we will be out a lot.
im_so_blue if you got a rig or if you like wheeling you should join up at ExploringNH.com good group of people who are trying to put out a good image for responsible offroaders.

i have a XJ that no one wants so i am gonna say f it this summer... shes gonna see all the mud she can handle and wheeling till she finally croaks and there she'll sit or just get thrown in a salvage yard.. one or the other.
I just can't stand sending a perfect running vehical to a salvage yard so i am just gonna beat it some more till don't run no more

what year? it may have some good parts on it you can sell. ENH can be kinda little *****es about mud, they think it is the devil. they can argue about it for days. I have no problem with mud... other then the fact that it breaks stuff.

I added a ton of things to it from there. went to 6 inchs of lift got rid of the blocks and went to lift springs, added front and rear bumpers, rock rails, 34 inch swampers, 8k winch, fog lights, and a ton of little maintanence items. had 99k on her when i sold it about 2 months ago. had a blast with it. here are the after pics right before it sold

I love getting people going "you took that ..... where?!?!?! and made it out?!?!?!"
Took it on a trail on a mountain where you had tree's litterally a few inches on either side. I had to fold the mirrors in so they wouldn't get hit it was that close. Made it to the top and had some dirt bikers that were on the trail too going "dude i would have never thought that could make it up here"

I have noticed that a lot of car clicks also have similar 2nd car interests. Mustangs seam to be a big thing among other Jeep owners (I don't get it I hate mustangs) but I love my Jeeps (real jeeps not compasses and patriots and new grands) and Subarus.

my 88 XJ. 5" lift. 32x11.5x15s. k&n intake. no cat to a flowmaster40. sounded like a v8. I loved it. haha. tomken bumpers front and back. some other little things I forget. it was just starting to get tired and I didnt want to fix it.. wish I did..
