Aaron is getting a new bumper courtesy of a red toyota camry last night. Soooo I need a RELIABLE TRUSTWORTHY body shop to do the work that will TAKE RESPONSIBILITY if the car is broken into ON THEIR LOT while THEY have posession of the vehicle. Anyone got suggestions?

My boyfriend owns his own body shop, if you feel like driving all the way up here :)

Well there's one in Newington, CT that Traveler's guarantees work for the life of the vehicle...they have a fenced in area with barbed wire on top so break ins are a moot point and they take pics of the car on a daily basis and you can log into their website and look at the progress they are making on your car.
I will let Aaron know that your Boyfriend has a shop though. he might be more willing to deal with your boyfriend.
Ideally he wants to throw and 04 bumper on the car but we aren't sure if that would cost more. Traveler's insurance would be paying the shop directly because the car is still on a lien.
And I want to wait until Traveler's hears back from the other guys insurance company and if they will admit fault because then I won't have to pay the $500 deductible.... as it stands if I get the work done before they admit fault then I have to pay a $500 deductible to get it fixed.
They are estimating repairs as $629.06.
I'm waiting for Aaron to call me but I will let him know about your boyfriends place. Would your boyfriend lock the car up at night in the garage?

Someone hit my front bumper last week while I was pumping gas. Ended up with just over $1000 in damage because I have a clear bra.
I went with Vernon Collision center in Manchester CT. They repaired an Acura TL for me 5 years ago after I smacked a deer and I was very happy with their work.
Traveler's in my insurance, and they were happy with me using Vernon Collison.
I paid my deductable since I'm not patient enought to wait for the other guys insurance.
If you'd like more details, shoot me a PM.

Falveys in Norwich is a good body shop. Dusty works at the dealership side too...

Is falveys the Ford dealer or the Dodge dealer? Liberty mutual made Aaron bring the car to one of their estimate places in Norwich and he was thinking of possibly bringing it there.

Dodge..
And FYI, an insurance company can not MAKE you take your car anywhere. The only thing they CAN do is offer you better warranties on the repairs if you take it to one of "their" shops.

I think I mite just go with the place in Norwich. I now have to bring the parts and a ride back home so close is good, and that way I can pick it up 1/2 hour after its done so it will not sit there over night.
They'll keep the car inside when there working on it, should only be two days.
Do paint places paint new bumpers on or off the car? Would it save me labor if I mount the bumper on the car my self?

most places paint off the car. Doubt you would save much though.. Doesn't hurt to ask though...

So when to install the bumper yesterday. I got the right fender flare on, when to pull the left one out of the box and it broken. So I now have the bumper and the right flare installed and I have to see about getting the a new right side one. I also really need the newer tail lights now, it looks weird with the spaces. but not a bad as the missing flare.
