Idea for a spring meet

So I was thinking what is fun to do in the spring and I was like "oh drive MDI before the torists get here". So there it is we should have a meet in the harbor like food at geddy's and drve the park especially up to the summit. Late April early may I think would be the best time to do this.

Mount Desert Island, or Acadia National Park. Sounds like a good time for a group drive!!!

yeah sorry i get used to calling MDI. yeah its a bit of a haul for 90% of people its over an hour from here. we did this as a group drive for the umaine auto club last year it was a great time.

any one other than me ever drive up the mountain. (im to fat;) and lazy :Dto hike it). it would be a fun hill climb road. but from what i gather the feds wont allow such thing.

Holy sh*t - mapquest just showed this as 4 & 1/2 hours away from me - hmmm i may have to take this opportunity to hop on the cat and go to Novia Scotia while I'm at it :D

and dammit, im tired of driving on that island...thats where i deliver beer to all year long... on a side note i know a lot of the fun side roads and back roads on the rock.. cadillac is a fun drive too, just dont get busted speeding in the park. its a federal offense. :D

I've hiked, biked and drove it a bunch. Wife freaked out driving up cad in the ram, its so high you can't see the big stone blocks that keep from going over the edge. You just look out into space. :lol:

I've been to Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, never MDI. My wife's brung the kids once.

I might be able to do a CaddyMnt/MDi stroll. I'll know more once the time gets closer.

I dont know where I was. It was 1988. I was there for ski diving, which luckily didnt happen because of weather, the following week the ski diving school was closed due to their un-safe record.:eek:
