When are we doing a bake date. I am dying to pop my headlights out and paint the housing black. Maybe some leds in the eye brows?
This is what I want to do....

Good idea! It's actually surprisingly simple to do yourself though if no one bites.

I made fun of your car for being a wagon? You must have me confused with someone else.

Yeah, Ed loves wagons as much if not more than I!
I'd be down for baking. I want to do mine on the Impreza. Would be nice to have them ready when the car's good to roll again in a month or so while I do the body work. :D

As long as YOU take care of it, that's all that matters. It's in good hands now since I guess you had it at a dealer recently? I'm sorry to take out my Pulski "hatred" on you:lol:

<3 forgiven. I take car of it well. I was at the dealership today and give it REGULAR oil changes all the time.
I'm slowly swapping things out and making it mine. I need time. :]

do what I did, start doing them when your parents aren't home... if they show up when you're half way through you still need to finish
it doesn't do anything to the oven, no weird smells really... you're just warming up the adhesive to pull the lights apart :)
if you paint them, well thats a different story  My DIY thread has some good info in it

You can also use a heat gun. I've heard that is a much quicker way to do it.

You take really good care if it. Plus you kinda have a thing for cars that were treated like a slut... Poor Christine.
Haven't seen the wagon in a while. How's she doing anyways? Work out that plan the rest if the way for repaint and such?

Plus one. Living on the graveyard shift means I get to do a lot when everyone else is asleep. Also means when I cleans stuff up really nice I get complimented on it cause it's ussually a drastic change.
"You look at te basement recently?"
"Yeah. You didn't make all that room just to fill it with more parts did you?"
"No!"(Yes... :))

Boiling... Apkarian does that and it works amazingly well! Worst case, do both and get done twice as fast!

Considering some of the people you may not be too far off... but I think we'll leave it at that.
When you getting some 00-01' headlights?

I'd be up for helping the baking process, if it's close. I've done quite a few headlights in my day. I like the baking process for headlights. For some reason the boiling process takes off some of the chrome on some typed of headlights, no good. I do boiling mainly for taillights, where there isn't chrome paint.
A heat gun takes forever to get the headlights open.

If I do a Bake Date it would be in Feeding Hills, Mass. Might do one when my parents go away for 2 weeks. As long as no one breaks anything it be good.
Also want to bake the tails....
I got another car I can use while my lights are pulled out.

1-1.5 hours I think? Not bad really. For this I don't know if I'd come straight from home or try to do it in a double shot from home to Worcester then to there the next day.

From Worchester it would be a quick shot down 90.

I'm near where 57 abruptly ends as a state highway. Just have to keep the gathering on the smaller side, 20 people might make the neighboors suspisious and if my dad found out that be no good for me. But 2 or so cars at a time be no prob.
I think this could be alot of fun!
