So, After watching one of her shows, Brit has decided that she wants a IH Scout. I found one right down the street from me for sale. It is a 68 Scout with a 3 spd and I forget which engine. The engine runs, but the 3 spd needs a clutch. Guy is asking 800 for it. I have been looking around and think that for 700 it would be a good deal. I was wondering what you guys thought? worth it? I am buying with the idea to do a chevy swap into it, paint it, give it a small 2-4 inch lift and let brit drive it.

No i don't have photos, totally spaced on taking them. It is located right in Kittery on Rt 1.

yea, but thats a ford. Gross!!!!

She is the one that picked the scout, but I do think the 66-77 bronco II. Plus get a mid- 80s chevy as a donor and you will have NO problem getting parts.

Brit, it would be her project

Hows the body???

The body is in very good shape. I didn't see much rust. the interior is ok, but would need an overhaul. The engine in it runs, but the 3 spd needs a clutch.

If you have the know-how or funds to fix the unexpected (cracked frame, tranny rebuild, exploded diff, snapped yoke) then I say go for it!

IH Scouts are awesome.
