OFFICIAL DATE: FEB 20th
TIME: Start around 10:00 am, go until we are done
Where: 111 Scotland Bridge Rd, York ME

Well the last install day I had went pretty well, so i have decided to do another one. I know a lot of people got things for their car for the holidays and many of you don't have a warm place to install them.

Here is what I can offer:

- Heated 1020 sq ft garage.
- Wide assorment of tools.
- the ability to disasemble your vehicle and put it back together.

What I want from you guys:

- a date to have the install day.
- who is coming.
- what we are installing.

Here is the last install day we did.

fmic? Nahhh, that'll take too long. I should be down for either day seeing how I just found out that I'm going back to the shop (say goodbye to overtime).

Joe, I hope you've got more tools than you had at the swap meet! I've got about 10k worth of tools so if someone needs something specific, let me know and I can bring it (impact gun? other nuematic tools, panel tools, etc.)

I have gotten a few more, like a sawzall and two more 3 ton jackstands. I also cleaned my garage and found some tools. I have pneumatic tools, just no compressor to run them :( If people do want things installed, please feel free to bring your tools that you think will help. Also, vote in the poll!!

I'll try and come by for this. I was at the swap meet you hosted a little while back and probably won't have much to install. Maybe a swaybar or something. I can bring tools and lend a hand with other people's installs though. Plus, it's an excuse to take the swap out for a cruise. :)

As far as anything electronic goes; I've got a lot of specialty tools from working in car audio for so long so if anyone thinks they might need something obscure let me know, I might have it. I'll bring my multimeter in any case, though. Always good for troubleshooting.;)

And MUCH more expensive! For the simple home projects, a smaller compressor will be fine. If you're planning on using it in a business, then you're gonna need something with a little more stank to it. IMHO.

Annnnnnd, while you're at it, do you maybe want to get a table saw, and a decent plunge router so I can finish my stereo system that's been collecting dust for the past 3 years?! And make sure you get some good bits for the router, too.

we would need a spring compressor, unless subarude comes. I'm not touching springs without a compressor

make sure you have all of the gaskets ;) I'm sure we could put an UP in.

Bring the tubo, FMIC and injectors just in case we have time or someone that can do injectors quick.

TMIC is easy and turbo takes about 2 hours.

You're gonna want to drain some of the coolant when replacing the turbo. Also, I've got a set of spring compressors:cool: As far as my FMIC goes, AJW says it's gonna be some time before mine shows up so I'm really not holding my breath on having it in time (I'm having the core and the support painted black so it takes a bit longer):( I've gt a slew of specialty tools that I'll tote along with me to make everyones life easier 'cause I'm cool like that.:D:lol:

You're gonna want to drain some of the coolant when replacing the turbo. Also, I've got a set of spring compressors:cool: As far as my FMIC goes, AJW says it's gonna be some time before mine shows up so I'm really not holding my breath on having it in time (I'm having the core and the support painted black so it takes a bit longer):( I've gt a slew of specialty tools that I'll tote along with me to make everyones life easier 'cause I'm cool like that.:D:lol:

ok awesome.... i can just bring everything. i can do the intake and fuel pump on my own time with my 08. ive never installed a turbo however and i dont have the tools to do my springs,

and on the girls 03 all we would need help with is the up pipe and the turbo. well probably the injectors too haha. if there is time for us to tag along we will and i can help out obviously hahaha. is there a list of who is getting what done and whos going?

well we are both already stage 2 catless turbo backs on both of ours. we are both replacing turbos and she needs to get rig of her crappy catted up pipe she has a new catless one in the box.

Me getting stuck in like 1/2 inch of snow = ( I had to dig all the snow out, put boards under my tires and then have two guys pushing the front of my car.

It was super sweet. I was so proud of him at that moment. I mean the way he helped that old lady made me cry on the inside..... plus that red neck that was helping him didn't know what the F he was doing lol.

Tally for the day:

Rally Armors on my sisters 09 Legacy

Cam gears in the Supra

As for the Bugeye:

Uppipe, top mount, turbo, injectors, spark plugs, fuel pump.

Thanks to Justin for the food, and for everyones help. Chris thanks for the beer! Especially to Pat, without his help we wouldn't have gotten nearly all that stuff done. We wrapped up the bugeye right around 7:30, with it just needing the skidplate and the nipple put into the turbo. Note to self; buy some JB Weld. I had a blast, and I hope everyone else did too.

Oh and i believe randy fixed his driver side mirror in my driveway!

Not as bad as i thought. Though it helped we were taking the turbo and intercooler out. The bugeye was stage 2 i believe and getting retuned today.

I really had a lot of fun yesterday even though I still felt blah. Thanks again Joe and Britt for hosting it all, and to Justin for the great food and for bringing Pat. As stated before, we wouldn't have gotten done nearly as much without him. And thanks to Chris for supplying the yummy Coronas which kept me going all day. Oh Chris, I was just joking about your car, I still like it a lot, I just don't like working on it. Lol. I hope everyone's cars that got worked on made it home safe (i.e. the wrx with a broken boost line and the Supra with very low fluid levels). I think next time will be Randy's and my FMIC.:bull:

I think with everything that was done, it'd be considered a stage 4...I think. Only thing missing would be headers.

well last night sucked after the fact lol.... car completely broke down and was overheating because we didnt burp the system after losing all the coolant!!

bled the system and topped it off on the side of the road, and the stalling out was result of the BPV being on finger tight. its running now but it has major boost creep and just spikes right out. fixing the turbo nipple is proving to be almost impossible....

gahh shes ripped apart in the driveway and the store i bought the nipple from isnt open today.....

yesterday was a blast though! lol glad i got to meet all of you and thanks so much for all of the help.

PAT I NEED YOU LMAO!

well had an issue after a test drive today. Scared the crap out of me. So I started driving it and after it warmed up I layed into it. Ran through first gear and as soon as I started to shift into second I heard a pop. After that I didn't get any pressure from the turbo. The only thing I was thinking was oh ***** I blew my back turbo. (common in 1jz) so I turned around and I heard a tinking sound. I pulled back into my drive way and popped the hood to take a look. what happened? Well the intercooler pipe we put back on last night didn't have enough of the pipe on the lower piping and all the pressure blew it off. I just pulled the pipe off and remounted it to make sure it was good. After a good ten mins she ran like a champ again.

Ok I found the 6 inch ext., 10 mm snap on (6 pt), 12 mm snap on (6 pt), 17 mm craftsman (12 pt) and thats it. I'll text ya tomorrow. Has anyone seen my Big 3 inch ext? for the 1/2 socket wrench. I haven't really looked through my things yet to see what i'm missing but that's one of the things i've noticed.
