How to get some more clearance under hood

all legs/imps are the same for this up til 2005 for the legacy, and up til 2008 for the imp. The tribeca is the same as the imp/fozzy, just one strut. The 2010 legacy/outback is the same as the tribeca/2008+imp/2009+ fozzy, just using one hole for mounting. if you need some more access to underhood stuff, ie:removing engine, or just want more visibility.....here

nipple in hole:

take it out:

Remove prop rod, turn it around and insert into hood backwards:

place lower end of rod into strut tower:

2005-2009 Legacy, just push the hood up higher. there is a lower hole in the hood:
