On the 2009 WRX, will a 16x6.5 clear the brakes, or do I need a 16x7?

I have a perfectly good set of all seasons sitting at home that would be a whole lot better than what's on the car now, but I don't have any wheels for them.

All depends on offset.

Whatever offset a 02-05 WRX wheel would be.

I've heard the 02-05 stuff won't fit over the 06+ brakes.

I have also heard there might be some clearance issues with the 08-09 brakes with stock GC wheels. I hear the front calipers are some of the biggest 2 pots Subaru made.

The only reason I'm even asking is that I swear I saw a picture of an 09 WRX with 02-04 style wheels on it, but I could be imagining things.

I have seen 2.5i's with them, but not wrxs...

I've also only seen N/A's with them.

I've "heard" the 08-09 wrx has the LGT brakes now... with that being said I'm wondering this myself because someone asked me if older wrx wheels will fit over the LGT setup...

much help would be great :)

Not sure what the LGT has, but I definitely don't have 4/2 pots, so I'll be digging into it more.

I was going to buy a set of 2009 wrx's wheels for my 2006 and the buyer told me that they wouldn't clear brakes being an 2006 having the 4/2 pots

LGT's need 17's I'm pretty sure, those brakes are HUGE.
