I've only had it for a week and a half.
Wow, looks slow.
 j/k very nice car. The bungee cord mod is perfect to keep the vibrations from wiggling it loose.

I know I know, im going to get it tuned as soon as I get some more money. I still need to setup two catch cans and tweak my waste gate. Here are the money shots.
FMIC, lightened crank pulley, turbo inlet, EL headers, AVO wastegate.

for that I think you need a "shorty" intake type, aps and well perrin both have a good one that just comes right off the turbo inlet ;)

I think axis can weld...
So Nick, do you like the new sound? EL headers are such a change!

The sound is very different but I'm starting to love it. My only issue with the Perrin EL headers is that they are slip flanged so you can pull or push them apart to make for a perfect fit. Mine leak at the flange because of that. Perrin said as the headers warm up they should expand and not leak but mine are LEAKY! My BOV sounds sick with the FMIC now.

did the motor blow up or are you just having them build it for good measure?

Bad piston ring. Cylinder 4 only has 60 psi for compression. So I figure while it's out why not go nuts.

guaranteed to be a bad piston ringland, but just saying......and I could probably build it to last longer.....just sayin'. good luck with that.

If you're thinking of that, talk to brian. he's popped a motor on a 35R, and most likely knows his way around that setup in more ways than one. I probably won't be the only one to tell you it's not for the faint of heart.

looked at your mod list, and I will say there is a turbo missing from the equation. throw away that stupid accessport, and get it custom tuned. off the shelf sucks. stage 3 this, and 1000cc injector that.....with a stock turbo. hmph!

That's what I'm thinking! You're asking for more problems with a setup like that on a lil vf...
I'd say pick either Brian or evoeaters brains on their setups ;)

Nick let us help explain some of the details here. On Nicks car we found it to have low compression in one cylinder which yes is most likely a broken ring land on the piston. Motor is out but not apart yet it will be apart early this week.
We will be using forged CP pistons and eagle rods on the build in order to hold more power once the turbo is upgraded. Since the engine is out it makes sense to do as much now while its out.
Also the 1000cc Injector Dynamics injectors are way to large for the stock turbo but they will be well suited for the new turbo set up once its in. We also will be doing a full pro tune with the new set-up to ensure its running correctly.
Once the new turbo set-up is in we are setting up the engine for 450+ HP which is the reason for some of the mods.

And by CP pistons you mean Wiseco right? lol
I do not have enough to do a turbo at the moment. Again we decided to build it up while it's out. So once I'm ready for a turbo the motor is all set and should be able to handle it no problem.
As for the access port they are going to do a pro tune and load it on my access port so I can still use it. I don't have any gauges at the moment and want to be able to read out certain things and data log.
