Sounds like a nice little trip - how i'm on lowering springs with RallyArmor flaps - should i attempt this or are the roads too rough?

Probably OK, depending on how low. Just go slower in those parts. :)
This sounds like it could be a really fun trip on a lot of really good roads. I'll try to see if I can work out my schedule to keep the day free.

You should be fine. I recently did just Glendale Falls, and Chesterfield Gorge trip and it brough me through alot of nice scenery. Too bad the gate to Mt. Greylock is closed for the season. Just about 10 min from the golden eagle. Highest mountain in mass with a truley stunning view.

Anyone know how I can use Google earth to make me a route that will follow all my waypoints instead of doinf one at a time. For the sake of generating one map and not like 6. I wanna print maps and directions for all who attend.
BTW Squee could you sticky this?

Sheesh, if anyone wants to simplify all the trip info I spent the last hour and a half on, be my guest :)
I think I should have someone who has a GPS that you can type coordinates into should lead for the sake of not getting lost. I really need to get a decent GPS.

Jeeps in the shop so I'm taking the subaru to work and back so I still havent been able to address the wheel bearing. Hopefully the Jeep is done within the next day or too cause if I can't get the wheel bearing done I don't want to drive any long distances.

There is a good chance this meet could be on Sunday instead of Saturday. Too many people requested it off at my job. I will keep you posted. WE HATE POSTPONMENTS!!
Why is it when you try to pick a date where nothing is going on your co-workers get the 6th sence and they all put in for that same random date you picked and your the only one who doesn't get it off after you have already made the plans???
Update this meet will now be postponed to
Sunday the 24th.
Sorry blame my boss...
Squee you mind changing the date again?

We left the WRX behind. The roads were so bad that we brought a Subaru convoy we would have had a Subaru Tragedy no doubt.

We are going to try this same trip again when the days are longer and the weather is more decent. Also want to try to get a meet going a Bash Bish falls. Or just do a "waterfall meet" and check out Mass's waterfalls. There is like 3 good ones definitely worth seeing.
We left the WRX behind. The roads were so bad that we brought a Subaru convoy we would have had a Subaru Tragedy no doubt.
That's a bit of an understatement.
If I brought my car me and Nick would have been joined together at the bumpers and fenders :spin: - the speedometer read 0mph but the car was moving! - Nick had to disengage his ABS a couple of times just to stop - SO GLAD i didn't drive the Rex down those hills - plus the WRX DOES NOT have snow tires - just normal all seasons - not that it makes much of a difference on a sheet of ICE!
Nick D
01-25-2010, 12:16 PM
Man that one hill we were that did that "S" turn where we were just sliding helpless, the slightest blip of the brake pedal just locked the wheels, literally zero traction and then when we made it to the bottom it took us an additional 100 yards just to stop at 7mph was a little much. I came so close to that guardrail and tree line so many times.
Then when were were on the Skyline Trail doing about 15mph I prepared to make that right turn like 200 yards in advance and we slide right past the turn.
Numerous time we had a rear end shimmy that had great spin out potential. Thanks to me staying calm in a time of no control I was able to recover every time.
