Most the road were almost cleared but icey as hell. About 3 inches of sleet accumulation on the road.

I was only one of few who made it up the hill. I had to drive through the snowbanks to get around these hopeless vehicals. Not even a single slip of any of my wheels. I was trying to help the black Pontiac. Good thing I had a tow strap and buckets full of sand on standby in the back.

I spanked this jeep. It took him 10 min to make it up the hill. All he did was get in my way a bunch of times and I had to pass him throw the snowbank and embrarras him. My fozz didn't even know it was on ice and I passed him whith no wheel slippage and he had his wheels literally smoking.

All in all I felt like an ass to just drive around everybody with ease. Even the snow plow (the pic I took didn't come out) was stuck and slide sideways furthure blocking the road. At one point there was 10 cars all stuck and sliding sideways. My fozz proved to be a champ!!

WHAT THE HELL!

DC Gets 20" and it snows for 20 hours straight! The snow barely came last night and when it did we only got 1/2 inch out of the 14" we were told to expect. This is the biggest ripoff since that snow "God, The Devil, And Bob" or whatever that show was called.

Lucky you guys we got totaly ripped off with the snow. I was looking at the hourly weather last night on my phone and it said "10pm heavy snow" and this was at 9:59pm as a single flake was yet to fall.

It was supposed to start at like 11 last night here in the seacoast... As of 5 this morning it had not yet started to fall.

It is snowing now and there is maybe 2-3 inches on the ground. But it totally doesn't look like it will hit the 5-8 that WMUR was saying yesterday.

My idea of snow removal includes a shovel, gental brushing of snow off the fozz, and 1,500 rpm to warm the motor up. Then keep the speed at about 30-40mph :)

My sister was driving back from SC and got stuck in VA.

They have no idea what they're doing down there when it comes to snow. My old man told me a story when he was stationed in VA back when he was in the Navy, they got something like almost 2' of snow and it took about 4 days before they could leave their house cause the roads weren't cleared. That and he drove a 76 Trans AM at the time.

WHen I loved there I had a 96 Wrangler on BBS wheels and 30inch tires.

We got 6" of snow and they shut the city down (Roanoke VA)

There was a cop blocking the main road out of town. I pulled up, showed him my Maine drivers license and he let me go by :lol:

So far this year I really have not got a real good chance to drive the Forester in the snow. So far everything has been light. There was about 4 inches of fresh snow last Saturday in the Mount Snow lot, but even a RWD car could have made it out. The roads were salted and plowed when I left.

I did get to try the Forester in mud at Butternut's upper lot a few weeks back (it was when we had a lot of rain & it was warm / I went skiing the next day).

See, I always thought "Cardboard box with wheels" was a good enough explanation for vehicles such as the Scion xB or the Nissan Cube. I guess toasters are what the kids are calling them these days....lol
