there is a picture of my odometer...
(sighs) the mileage is so low for a couple reasons...
1) yes for a while I have refused to drive my car in the winter but there is s secret, it has spent the last two winters in the operating room...
2) I think I was one of the LAST ones to have bad dealing with deadbolt b4 they went away. I still have one of their modded snails that was meant to pump out 27 psi with a MBC... the turbo went away in a violent fashion twice in two summers trashing the dirty side of it both times. Luckily the worst it did to my car was to gum up the downpipe and cause it to become intimate with a flatbed from a local tow company....

I finally ended up with a garret 3076R inside the car, NOT modded, NOT effed with, NOT poked and/or prodded in anyway... these are the results from ESP's dyno....keeping in mind that I CAN NOT get 93 octane so my car is tuned to 91 octane moose urine, is not addicted to Meth

Of all things....for a variety of reasons (bad gas, no octane, insane head work, need for a larger snail) U can see where how early my car checks out... On the dyno the engine was literally trying to suck more air than the turbo could give it: Nice friggin head work sam...
http://mainesubies.com/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=media;id=157;preview

This is the dyno sheet I usually refer to, it gets right down to the bottom line...
http://mainesubies.com/index.php?action=mgallery;sa=media;id=156;preview

& yes Big-D... there have been many instances where it has not left the garage for usually one of three reasons...1) the turbocharger has been in a state of three mile island rendering the entire thing useless. 2) I have quite a bit of time, money, aggravation and patience wrapped up in this car...the last thing I want is to make a stupid mistake and bring it crashing down. 3) I insure it for its "perceived value" not a "book value" so the premium is stiff, I save a fortune by only street insuring it for a few months a year and then making sure it is covered under the mbrella of my homeowners for the balance of the time....

& RexTuner... to answer the $$$ question.... Every time I think about the $$$ I dropped into this I can feel my wifes hot breath on the back of my neck as the hairs stand up in preparation for the baseball bat against the back of the skull...

EVERYDAY I rise and glare at yahoo weather, wunderground weather, look out my window and do a happy dance while I ask mother nature for a **#$&(@#)@$@# break this weekend...

I am VERY hellbent determined to get my STi to the meet down in Portland cracked windshield and all..

sOOOOOOOOOOOO badly I want to get my car there I can taste it...

my damm princess has been out so little,,,, the last time anyone really saw it was at NEFR where it ended up on a website, a few forum users spotted it and Travis was all set to drive it after seeing under the hood and realizing it had NO restrictor plates like the rally cars...

soooo Mainiac... I ready to chill with me and the wife next weekend? maybe let me take a decade or so off the end of UR life with a ride in my car?

12-03-2009, 07:01 PM
gonna have a punkin hed after the kids fall asleep, couple few rips, maybe get in the hottub and relax.... after that I dunno.....

About the only thing I can really say is for sure is an oil separator such as Nate has, waiting for a full synopsis and review of it.. After that the long term is to spend some time with the dang thing, drive it and get to know it..

Don;t forget , it is an 06 that just barely cracked 10k miles...
