I have a problem. My shifter on my svx (automatic) wont move. The button that puts it out of park wont go in all the way yet when you push it it makes the normal clicking sound like it's ready to go into gear. Does anyone know if this a simple fix or what might be causing it?

Sounds like the buttons broken, search through NASIOC for a walkthrough on removing the shifter and sort out what went wrong

Take off the shifter trim to gain access to the solenoid that lets the button push the linkage. Press on the brake and see how far it moves. Then push it manually and see if you can get it out of park. You may just need an adjustment or a solenoid. You can also bypass it, but be careful afterwards with children in the car left alone.... ;)
