Must be 2005-2007 and run 93 octane and be available for tuning at my location. I have created some new throttle logic I wanted to test out pre-canbus cars. Those are next :D

PM for details.

The support is minimal and tougher on those older models. I will look into it and report back findings if there is a non-time consuming solution.

About 8-15whp on airboy. Huge gains in drive ability everywhere. and the powerband is alot wider and top end is greatly improved.

Wow, that's impressive. It's only the 06+ cars though, huh? Are they DBW?

Romraider supports pre-06.

I just wanted to get a sample of 06-07 models specifically for this test.

Need to replenish the funds after the holidays before I start considering. A few weekend's worth of OT and I'll be golden.

The good thing about Bren is that he won't jeopardize your vehicle or his reputation. :)

P.S. Get an intake before you tune.

No viable software options currently to tune them.

THe 06-07 header is basically the same lay-out as a WRX header. Why is the change beneficial? Does it bolt right up?

So yeah, I'm secretly lurking to see results. I have 2 07s, one Impreza, one Legacy. I have seen MAF data (grams/second @idle) on a few intakes and all of them flow worse or the same as a stock air box. Why would you need an intake?...I've only seen one option for NA 06-07 intakes, are there more?

Talk to me. I dont like all this secrecy. And what about 91 octane? All Maine residents can only get 91 octane, except at a few ethanol free airports have 93 octane at $3.50+/gal. So the convenience isn't there, but its possible.

Old thread revival - but no secrets here. Testing has been done and successful flashes are on many cars now. So the promotion is currently done.

Intakes do in fact make more power and flow better in the top end of the powerband. There have been many tests conducted. However there is not a huge difference and the stock box is fine.

All cars with WRX-style or aftermarket headers successful make more torque and take significantly more ignition timing then a stock header car, even a 06+ header. Especially in the 3000 to 5000 rpm range.

91 octane is not a problem to tune for.
