I've been procrastinating like crazy on putting my bike away for the winter. My original plan was to strip it down and have it painted red but I'm gonna hold off on painting it for another riding season. Still, it needs a good douching so I started striping it down anyways.

everyone keeps telling him to leave it yellow haha it does need to be painted either way though... it's got a little scuffs here and there from the previous owner.

and as far as the cleaning goes, i put some of the parts in the bath tub and cleaned them that way haha it was too cold out to wash them outside!!!

Both of my last bikes (both 00 R6's) were red/white/flat black, so I'm partial to red myself. I have toyed with the idea of flat black but if the finish came out anything like my Icon helmet (matte black) it would be an absolute PITA to clean. I still have bug marks on my helmet from the first day I wore it. Damn thing just won't clean up right.

MikeM, I love that body style Kawi! My favorite style from them, actually. Is that a 636?

CTATV, that thing is badass! I would love to get a dirt bike or an enduro but alas, funds just aren't there. That thing looks cleaner than my bike...which incidentally, isn't saying much. My bike is a mess right now. So far in just this year, I've replaced the timing belts, all fluids, clutch cover, clutch preasure plate and retainer springs, clutch fibers and plates, brake and clutch levers, and added clear directionals, and swapped out the old Termignoni exhaust for a 45mm carbon fiber set of Termignoni's and had it tuned. I thought I was getting a great deal when I bought the bike because it only had 2200 miles on it and it's an 02 but now that I've had to do all of this work it doesn't seem like such a great deal after all. But you know what, I've always wanted a Ducati and I knew it was going to be expensive to maintain. It's just one of my life's dream I can check off now.

Next is a Lotus Esprit V8TT:devil:
