Don't know which section to put this in but anyways...
Will a gas tank from a bugeye work on a coupe? It'll have a full wrx driveline if that even matters... And yes I'm a noob when it comes to 93-01 models :o

Yes it does and iirc pre 97 it's required for wrx swaps. FYI I had a wrx tank on my 96 Brighton that I wrx swapped.
Also while you're in there don't forget to throw in a wally.

Why would it be required for a swap??

just going by what I was told for my 96. I'm assuming so it doesn't throw a cel.

Well, I was planning on using stock 94 tank with a Walbro pump and I have the harness merged to wire in the stock WRX FPR or whatever it is. Am I going to have a problem?

The swap can be done without the tank but the sensors in the tank will throw a code. You can flash it out though.

Oh and Justin just swap the tank. As stated the tank had a leak and with the patch it still leaked some. Just stay under half tank and no spillage to get it home.

You know you have to drop the rear subframe for the tank, right?

Not an issue if someone is swapping the subframe too.Which frankly who wouldn't change that out if you are gonna do the tank?

Tanks suck - but I'd swap it out if i were you. Not only do you get the sensors to 100% pass emissions but you can assure yourself that there's no rust or rot... mid 90's cars (especially in New England)... well... you know :)
It will work. It's is required if the car if FWD:P
