I just want this thread up for people like me that want to ***** about metrocast and its horribleness. It is THE worst cable/internet company I have ever dealt with. I lose access to internet once a week, and it always lags on some of my favorite sites, this included. I havent accessed NASIOC since like '72 and I can only access through anonymouse.....GAY~sneaky~

yeah, what the hell is up with not being able to access NASIOC from southern maine, like below portland that is? cause I can access in portland just fine and at my place in freeport, it's retarded all week being in kbpt and not being able to get access, that's why SCS is better!!

I remember my parents had Metrocast at our camper in Merideth. We had it to get weather and for rainy days. Seasonal site at a campground with a 45' trailer, it was pretty much a home.

I didn't like it, that's for sure.

Does that count?

I'll reminise all I want, and you'll like it. That just happened!

i agree, worst provider ever! Not only does their internet suck, their TV blows too.

Their HD package gives you 5 stations in high definition... 5 stations!!!

Their On Demand offers 0 High Definition features. When we called them to ask about HD features they said: "we do have HD on demand." When we further questioned them, they said "just use regular on demand and get an HD upconverter"

....idiots

Yes Metrocast sucks. I have been using it forever dealing with it crap speeds. I used to online game a ton and it was hell for a long time. Then it became a little better.

Now it is getting slow and access is bad. Friggin garbage. I want FIOS!!!!!!

They have FIOS over in kittery but I never thought to get it. Don't really need it to just do regular surfing and e-mail.

i was down in mass at a buddy's and he has FIOS TV and Internet.. blazing speeds (especially uploads) and TV looks clean and more HD than comcast. Also, DVR box is standard and cheaper than FIOS.

For all those with metrocast, MOVE OUT OF THE STICKS.

Funny, I've been hiding in the wilds of York County for a couple of weeks, leeching on a Metrocast connection, and found the same thing. Thought it was me. Does Metrocast have the worst DNS ever or something?

For the record, Verizon DSL works just fine in Dovah.. 1.5Mb/384k isn't blazing, but it's rock solid, and $32/mo. Cheap New Englandahs like that.
