OT: Lord Bass vs Landau (DJ) - Red Door, Portsmouth NH 3/31

They don't serve wings, but I'll be doing my monthly DJ appearance at the Red Door Lounge this Saturday night with my longtime friend, now Texas resident, Landau. He does hip old school funk (James Brown, Stevie Wonder, hot jazzy funk that I have no idea what it is), I do hip nu school funk & chilled techno (Junior Boys, Ulrich Schnauss, Hot Chip, John Tejada, DFA remixes). The martinis and pricey but strong.

If you're up for relaxing to chill sounds on a comfy leather couch, come on by. The crowd is relaxed from 9-11p, and feeling the love from 11-1a.

I can attest... Red Door has excellent wobblypop, and when you've had too many, Dos Amigos is merely 15 stairs away(downhill even!), waiting in burrito heaven.

A few years ago. Kate is finishing up grad school. They're moving back this summer, getting married. It'll be the uber party of the century [we're already planning music for it].

I'm doing my bit for Russian techno: Last night on radio I played a song by Easy Changes, they're a duo from Moscow.

I'm also a big big fan of http://www.deepmix.ru .. It's an online radio station from Moscow with brilliant minimal techno tracks and dj sets. It's soooo good.
