We just finished this car a couple of weeks ago and it should be coming in for it's full tune on Thursday. Mike's car started life as an '04 WRX and it's now officially a beast. We put in a 2.5l STi short block with forged pistons, machined the heads for the compression change with a port on the exhaust side and added in some new valves and Cosworth cams (sounds sick!). It has an ATP stock location GT35R converted to external wastegate, an APS 725 FMIC, and an AEM meth kit. Plus, the typical stuff you expect to see - Walbro, 750cc injectors (we'll see if they are enough), turbo back exhaust, etc. It also has our custom fuel system and unfortunately due to the 16-bit ECU, which will end up being his bottleneck for power, an APS 65mm CAI. Here's some pictures from now, and I'll have video/graphs up later in the week once it gets tuned!

He's got helical PPGs in the tranny, he drags this car.

what are the plans in that respect?

We're going to start by maxing the potential of the stock ECU first and then play it by ear. I'm not sure if the customer wants to go with an aftermarket system.

Does he plan on or already have the upgraded axles by any chance? He may need them if its a drag car right?

I have a feeling your going to need a little more then those injectors for this.

I've got a fairly lengthy history with the 35R on a 2.5L, and our 880's were hitting around 90% IDC. Put down around 490 in street trim, and around 580 with the Laughing Gas :-)

Either way, it's a sick setup, he's going to have a blast with it! Good job guys!

Yeah, we're all assuming we'll probably need more injector, but he wanted to stick with what he had for now. And I believe he still has stock axles, we'll see how long they last. ;)
