there should be an option: They Both Suck!

My biggest gripe is that you can't traverse between bars witha drink, like in vegas!

IMO, Mohegan is much better than Foxwoods... Foxwoods is very tourist attractionish, harder to get around, and just not as nice of a place as Mohegan.

Foxwoods has this "Bring the family! Then throw the kids into the arcade and come gamble their college funds away" feel to it, where Mohegan is more adult feeling.

And as far as Vegas goes... What a great time... Although I walked into the Mirage (where we were staying), walked around, then asked a security guard "where's the rest of it" and he looked at me confused.. I didnt realize vegas casinos were so damn small in comparison to CT...

completely agree with Noah, Mohegan is easy to navigate through, fun to be in and has 2 casinos along with the shops hotel and food in the middle. where foxwoods is totally a tourist attraction and a freakin MAZE to get through

Mohegan Sun is by far the better... The Shops are all Centralized,Very nice, friendly people. Deff more adult feeling.. Shops/Restaraunts are also open later then Foxwoods.. Foxwoods does have the "Largest" Gaming Floor of any Casino in the world. Foxwoods was more for Card Players/Poker and such, but now Mohegan Sun has expanded into that as well and is a better all around Casino. Also Mohegan Sun is 2 mins off 395, where as Foxwoods is a lil haul on a few diff Back roads to Rt 2 from 395.

I used to have what some Doctors call a "Gambling Problem"
and in my travels I preferred Mohegan... Foxwoods is more for shopping

It depend on what you want.

Mohegan sun is better for concerts and an all around fun for everyone experience. There are a ton of little shops and restaurants, and anyone can enjoy it of all ages.

Foxwoods is better if you just want to go strictly for gambling.

I used to work at both of them, so I have a good idea.

Both had their own strong points imo.
My grandmother always wanted to goto a casino and i woke up early one morning did a lil research and was like "hey wanna go try em both? they aren't even that far apart" which they aren't its like what 20-30 minute drive between on some small residential roads.
and we experienced each giving each atleast 3 hours of quick glance to take in as much as we could and pick which one we'd rather go back for.

Now people say foxwoods is more touristy i beg to differ i think Mohegan is much more touristy due to its ecentric shopping and dinning (hell even micheal jordan has a restraunt here) thats goes on for awhile and the various attractions you can see along the way. The entertainment is far better too. if your into UFC fighting they fight there frequently don't they. Wrestling, Boxing ect ect ect. Alot of your big bands show up here too.

Foxwoods has quite a bit of this stuff too but still doesn't hold a candle to mohegan.
What fox woods does better then Mohegan imo is gambling. If your there to have some fun in the gambling area. This place is amazing with just its sheer size so it has room to have more dedication on getting more a selection of games and has higher winnings if you play fixed games like slots or keno and such

So all in all its a toss up on what you really wanna do.

I wanted to gamble when i went (i spent 15 bucks on slots though and lost it all :unamused:)
and wouldn't mind doing a lil more next time around which when ever you ct boys and girls throw another casino meet i wanna tag along so i can do this. So with that being said me and my grandmother liked foxwoods just a lil better

i find it funny everyone picks on NJ

like i went last year to visit a friend when she was living there and i told everyone and they were like "Oh i am sorry that you had to goto that lame ass state"

and i am like i didn't mind it one bit. I was more on the western side (in Hackettestown (sp) ) and i liked it. A lil more country sided NJ and only 15 miles from a monster of a mall with a friggin stupidly large movie theater. and a Train Station that takes you into NYC anytime you feel like it i mean what more you want?

On the other hand i do not like Full Service stations. I mean its handy if its freezing cold out i guess. But having some random guy touching my car and such like that these days *shrug* not like the old days where people actually respected peoples property

its funny you mention hackettstown, i live 10 minutes away in Roxbury which is 2 towns over. Its nice up in this area, not alot of trash. We have a nice little subaru scene here, its mainly in northeast jersey and central jersey. I run a monthly meet in the nicer months at a fuddruckers between tristate nasioc, legacygt, and iwsti that we usually get about 40-50 cars every time. and a bi annual meet in Atlantic city called "top of the trop" we had 72 cars at our last one!

I know the mall you are talking about as well, there are much bigger ones in jersey too.

haha yea
I had another friend with me who wanted to visit this friend too.

This was the farthest trip driving wise he ever been on. he enjoyed it. He got to enjoy Roy Rogers for the first time

i got chased around with a blob eye blue sti in the downtown area.
and i saw a i think it was a hawk eye sti at the mall

We went to that mall like 3 times.
and then went to the Target in hackettstown like twice.
The skate shop thats in that mall (don't know if its still there) has a friggin cute chick (i'd say in mid 20s) with sleeve tats and such that works there.

We went to NYC from there to check it out cause i never been in NYC before neither has my friend and my friend was gonna get his Tongue Split (snake tongue look) cause hes into the body mod scene.
I had so much fun i didn't wanna leave.
But then again i don't get home sick. I am a traveler kinda person :D

yeah i go to a gym in Hackettstown and there's always 2 or 3 STI's there all the time, i think one of the people who works there drives one of them and yeah the skate shop at the mall is still there, Zumiez, i worked there for a year and a half, i dont know who works there now though to be honest with you. New Jersey is fun, we get the best of both worlds, in the summer its hot like Florida and in the winter it gets cold like VT but not nearly as much snow:lol::lol:
