So far the month of sept has been a real PITA. I've been pulled over every weekend this month.Once for doing 50 in a 30 (just a warning):D Twice for a loud ehxaust 1 state trooper and 1 manch pd. So i asked the manchester cop what the "law" was for a modded exhaust and he said " anything we think is exssive noise" i really dont know how that would stand up in court. but i have yet to get a ticket. Has anyone around here gotten a ticket for a modded exhaust?m m

They have to test your exhaust using a decible meter to issue a ticket.

The law is abused by officers to make stops on vehicles they think may contain illegal items, wanted people or intoxicated drivers.

If they stop you and all checks out fine, warning.

If they stop you and you have a pound of cocaine and dead hooker in teh trunk... they will have another officer bring the decible meter over.

Why?

Becuase if you stop a vehicle and it leads to a drug arrest, DWI, wanted person arrest the officer must prove probable cause for the stop and MUST issue a ticket for the original violation..

Long story short... they use it as a "fishing" technique.

i agree bulldog i used to get pulled for mine but thats what they want so every time after i figured that out i asked them at my window to use the decimal reader on my exhaust since i think nh is like 110 or somthin like that he would decline give me a "warning" and tell me to replace my exhaust never happened and never will they just need to make tyhere quota

One of those stupid speed reader things that display your speed as you go by took a photo of my car... I was doing 50 in a 45 on rt4 and as i went by it had a really bright flash go off several times as i went by. Is this just to alert me or should i expect a ticket in the mail for 5 over?

It's just a flashing light that indicates that you're speeding.

There are no laws currently in NH that allow for photo enforcement

I think you got a ticket coming your way....

As far as the exhaust note, not too sure. I rock my N1 all over town. i used to put the clutch in when i went past cops, but now i don't bother. they haven't really given me crap though, never been stopped. In York.

do what I do...
1) Add color to the side of UR car for thier viewing pleasure...

2) ASk them if the reason U got pulled over was to buy tickets to the policemans ball... he will probably respond by saying.."policemen do not have balls" at which point he is pretty much ready to give ur license and reggy back...

or U could just start UR own picture collection..(sighs) like me
