Short throw???

My buddy has a 95 or 96 legacy and I was wondering if his sts would work in my 01 forester. I am not sure wether or not if his sts is a kartboy/ cobb like setup or an sti one with the linkages.

i always thought that the shafts were universal except for the Sti ones, The real sts came with shorter linkage and actually was a Shorter throw not just the shorter shaft.

Give it a try, whats the worst that could happen? not fit...

The KB one moves the pivot so it is a shorter throw. Not just shorter shaft.

Are the legacy and forester tranny's the same linkage setup???
