I really hate going back on my word, but I have to tell this story because I was VERY dissapointed at how I was treated at Ocean Subaru.

The GF and I had a great experience buying her car. I thought that I would receive the same level of service when I went in to buy a car, I was wrong.

The salesman who we worked with initially was great. When I called on a car I found out he was gone... no big deal.

I end up talking to "Jeff"

Jeff has the car I like brought over from Manchester and I drive over before work.

I hand him the keys to my car and take their car on a test drive.

I get back and I sit down with Jeff and they offer me $12-13,000 for my car.

For those of you who have seen it, you know that it's not a 13k car.

NADA clean trade is $16.1.

To add insult to injury he begins arguing with me about my bank's policies.

I've bought 17 cars in my lifetime and I have never once got up in the middle of a conversation and walked out.

I did that day.

Ocean Subaru,

I hope you read this..... Jeff is a terrible salesman and VERY impersonable :unamused:

I'll be taking my business elswhere.

was he a regular salesman or one of the "headhunters" they bring in for supersales?
BTW I have seen your car its NOT a 13k car, 12k is like a slap to the gonads

I don't know.... I just got a really bad vibe from him from the get go.

I called their parent dealership, Manchester subaru and they went to 15k but that is still way to low considering you can't find my car online for under 18.5 Private or Dealer

well if they give you the full 16 they will only make 2grand when they sell it
what was the price point of the car you wanted?

exactly... "only" 2k... that's a pretty good gross for a used car.

$8,995

What no Legacy? Really Randy? I thought you would do dirty things for a Legacy? My vote. Private sale the Audi and get an SVX! ;)

I'm thinking: hold on to audi for one more year, buy 2010 WRX or 2009 Legacy GT
