Who: EVERYONE! All makes and models welcome! It's all for fun. Subimods has a large lot, with plenty of room, so spread the word!


Why: Subimods and CTSubaru.com know how many of us are blessed and able to enjoy some bonuses in life, including our hobby cars. Lately, it has come to our attention the help that some of our local resources need. One of the resources being the local food banks. Please bring a non perishable food item to be donated to local food banks! More is always welcome, so bring what you can spare! Thanks guys!

It's just gotten to a point where all I see on t.v or read in the paper, is another story of someone less fortunate than myself, in need of food, a jacket, a place to rest their head...... Who knows if I'll ever be in that spot! I got to thinking about how I own three modified vehicles, am purchasing a house, and all the other crap I've bought over the years. It's time to give back. I know it's too far for some that are on this board, so I completely understand if we don't see that much attendance. This is also being circulated around some muscle car forums/clubs, and obviously by the most important method... word of mouth! If you can't make it but want to send something, maybe find someone that is going and piggyback it to us. ANYTHING will be appreciated!

The subaru community tends to be pretty close knit... I'm already receiving invite confirmations on mysubie.com also. Hopefully the maiden meet will show what we've got, and get a good thing going.

Any input or ideas will be greatly accepted. I'm playing with the idea of changing what we gather each month. As the winter months close upon us I was considering doing a clothing drive meet as well.... Don't be shy, lemme know if you have an idea!

Even if you don't think you can make it, try to piggy back your donation to someone attending! Otherwise I'll try to see if I can meet up with you somewhere. Been a while anyways. Last time I seen you was probably at the house when I still lived in norwich! :spin:

I just received 2 cases of cold cereal, 250 peanut butter granola bars and 3 cases of toaster pastry.

I'll hang on to a bunch of it and bring it down.

Dan, sometime next week would work fine. I've had a very hectic past few weeks myself, between buying a home, and some other personal less-than-fun stuff going on. I'll try to touch base with you over the weekend or early in the next week.

Weather still looks like it's going to be awesome for us this sunday... so come on down!

Also, I need to note a small change. I made the executive decision to make all of the food donations to THE CONNECTICUT FOOD BANK (http://www.ctfoodbank.org/index.php). This way, our donations will get spread out to where they are needed most, by a trusted organization. I may need some help from someone, as they take in donations at two warehouses in Ct. One is in New Haven, and the other is in waterbury.
