I painted mine and just slapped a few good coats of clearcoat on it, heres to hoping they clean pretty easily

I think part of the issue is that brake dust is tiny tiny particles and stick in tiny holes in the wheel paint.

A good coat of paint and CC should prevent brake dust from really sticking

Im actually sales director for a Multimedia/ A.V company. But its just me and my boss (the owner) we hire temp intallators so we dont have anyone perminatly on the pay roll. Soo I end up doing wiring, programming, and installing more than half the time, which is great because not alot of companies have the budget for a technology upgrate so sales is kinda slow.

A lot of that $520 comes from parts.

I'd ask around the vendors on this site and see if they can get you the parts for less.

2.5 hours of labor = $225 + $150 in parts = $375 is about what you should pay.

I love it, was cleaning some stuff of mine out of my fathers garage to bring to my place. I found some stuff I forgot I had, wrx wiring harness and 04 wrx heads. If I want I could always slap those on the ss.
