Brought my 09 Impreza Outback Sport home last Thursday and wanted to give a thumbs up to Ocean Subaru for a quick, painless, and very fair buy.

When we first started shopping, we ended up at Ocean Subaru about 15 minutes after closing. The sales manager pulled up as he was leaving and was very willing to answer questions and talk. Not once did I get the vibe that we were bothering him as he was trying to go home. When we returned the next day, we met with a salesman and they stood by what the sales manager had quoted the day before. It was a very straightforward negotiation without any gameplaying.

They gave me a very fair trade for my car and were willing to work with my requests. I had leather and a sunroof added and it was done quickly (ready for pickup three workdays after I put down my deposit). Even with some of my other picky requests (i.e. red stiching on the leather, returned original seatcovers, etc.) they were very easy to work with and I didn't feel like I was bothering them.

Being a female, I'm very used to male salesmen treating me like I don't have a clue. I didn't get this at all at Ocean. Rick, the salesman, was very down to earth. When signing papers and picking up the car, Rick was to the point. He didn't waste my time trying to talk me into extended warranties I didn't want. He didn't go through every last option that the car had. He pointed out things that were unique to my car and got us out of there quickly (but not in a rushed sort of way).

Anyone looking to buy a car from a dealership that is easy to work with, check out Ocean Subaru.

Rick was great :)

I almost forgot we were at a car dealership

I loved the fact that there was 0 pressure and no running back and forth between the sales manager and us.

My first suby came from Manchester and they treated me great. This has obviously carried over now that they own Ocean. My next suby will come from Ocean/Manchester too :)

Thanks Rick!!!

I will third this. The Gf and I just got two more Subies from Ocean. They are a great staff who give you better than fair trade-in value, quick turnaround, and competative pricing. I also bought my 08 from there and will go back for the next one.

Very cool guys, never had any issues. Only thing to watch out is if your mod screws something up, they wont fix it. Service guy told me a story about a kid with an 08 WRX who flashed his ECU with an accessport. I guess he did it wrong and screwed up the ECU. they found it was flashed and even found the accessport, so they refused to fix it under warrenty. Kid flipped on them and they asked him to leave and blacklisted him.Basically, if you mod and break something because you did it wrong, they wont warrenty it. But if you come in with a broken tranny, they wont try to blame it on your springs or aftermarket wheels and tires.

I routinely show up and have my car worked on, and they have no problem with it. Good guys and fair prices.

After talking with some people at the dealerships, they have to tell SoA about anything they see related to the damage. It is dealer policy.

My blown strut was replaced under warranty, I was stage 2.

Exactly. As long as it wasen't the direct cause, they have no problem fixing it.

Ocean's service department is top notch. I just bought a block from them and had them assemble it. They did a great job on it. Gave me all the parts at cost.

Also my fiance's mother just bought an 09 Forester from. She was extremely please by the service there. Overall it's the best dealership iv'e ever dealt with.
