Now, I know i am going to open up a can of worms here, however many of us CT people are closet Pike dwellers, plus someone had to bring it up eventually


If you hang out on the pike (NOT RACE) where do you go?

If you hate the Pike thats fine too, just keep it to yourself.

I used to live 20 mins from the Pike, and i never made it over there. I heard that there usually are a ton of cool cars, but Cops break it up pretty quickly..

Depending on where you go... Some places they actually leave you alone as long as no one is doing anything really stupid (which is sometimes hard for some folks)

well CSC guys use to hang out at toco bell. last summer we hung out at friendly's and that worked out well took up the far parking lot cops couldnt see us and it was fine

The Dunkin Donuts by Best Buy is usually pretty mellow, we never get bothered by the cops, ever. Burger King is pretty mellow but it's the domestic scene over there.

Aim for Newington CT. You'd probably be looking at almost a 2 hour hike, trust me, it's not worth that much driving.

you take 91 South for a while then merge onto 15 south which is the berlin turnpike

IMO it's sort of worth it if you're in the area but otherwise not a real big deal. It's on the way to Bethel if you're going to the meet in August (if you're coming from ME, NH or MA). Something to hit up on the way home.

Back a couple years ago I used to work for Target stores.. I had applied for a Higher position at the Newington Target... Been awhile since I have been up that way.. Bout a Half hour from North Haven. Depending on Traffic on 91 or the Merrit.

I remember back in the day when I used to head down to the pike and check out the idiots get chased by cops. After the pike we would go to the airport just south of hartford (brainard i think) and watch those idiots get chased by cops... Those were the good old days. Do people still go to the airport?

Pike use to be badA** but ever sense alot of people got killed acouple years back the cops have been cracking down hardcore, plus their are ALOT of honda idiots burnout fests that ALWAYS attract the fuzz. I work for Town Fair Tire's corporate office, so if we want a place to hang out on the pike I'm sure we can go there and not get harassed since Town Fair Tire owns the plaza.

If you want it to be a regular hangout I can always get permission so the owner from D&D dosen't call the cops or trys to kick someone out.

SOL on this idea. Turns out Rizzo Pool owns that lot, not TFT. The only way we could use one of the TFT lots is to have an official Car Show in which we would not all have to sign some insurance form for liability reasons.:(
