it was an on/off discussion with myself a lot but in the end it was cost. I plan on doing them eventually down the road but at the same time I finished up the car I put an offer on a house and eh clearly we know which is more important.

its is a lot of power haha. its stupid amounts actually. I've taken all sorts of stage 2 - 20G friends in it and they are always like holy shi*t, I mean with all power its something you get used to. haha

as for the using it.... I can't say I have used it throu 5th or 6th gear for more then a pull fast. I also don't take it out tooo much, my tune alone only has about 1200 miles on it.

UPDATE!!!!!

So been a WHILE haha but was in no rush since I store the car during the winter any way. The amazing crew over at EFI went to pull my bad block out yesterday to see what the damage was.

Not as bad as expected, we have some polishing to do on the heads but minor and cams but they were saved as for the cause of my block seizing up..... it was the rod bearing in cylinder 1.

Now for whats happening, while the car was down there I had dropped off my other short block so we had it ready to go, EFI will be sending that to the machine shop for to get sleeved and ready for the new build.

Only other things i can really say that have been decided so far is that I will be running a dual walboro setup with 1000cc DW injectors, some cams ( still undecided on which ), possibly a new intake manifold...... ect ect.

I will be posting up updates as I find out! Despite a blow motor this was good news compared to what had been going on in the back of my head.

custom build by them but essentially a stage. it will be a fully built all out bottom end and the top end will be cosworth s2's with supertec .5mm oversized valves and springs/retainers.

Back seat, they bolt in where the seatbelts go. its really just to help out on the leather, you slide around A LOT with the factory seatbelts and I haven't had a chance to find a harness bar I like yet.

yea, I have a exedy twin plate for a clutch and that will hold the power no problem, as for the tranny, Im not worried about it it should be good for the power I will be making and I don't abuse the car bad at all and I don't drag it so the stock sti tranny should be okay.

as to why it went and fused? I wanna say it has something to do with the oil consumption issues since RAW performance aligned the piston ring gaps when the motor was assembled.

Updates on the car are that the motor is at the machine shop, Cosworth finally got some manifolds back instock so thats being shipped soon and I am still debating on some powder coat colors. I also ordered the killer bee motorsports oil fill relocation kit the other day. Really happy to be getting away from RAW and get a REAL MOTOR IN MY CAR.

nope, no plans for the track this year. Specially with the kind of power it will make, chris will have to de-tune me and slowly increase the power so I can get used to that kind of power on a track and how the car reacts with it.

still waiting on the new pistons then the motors going out for the sleeve. I have some paint ideas for the motor rendered out in photoshop.

I just remembered that I need to look into going v-band on the turbo because I blew the gasket on the DP with my power-band a couple times last build.

Motors at the shop getting sleeved as I type, heads are back from the shop and looking clean as hell. Turbos still with ATP just as a double check to make sure nothing happened to it. Only thing left is to find a V-Band for this 1.06

Finally turned the 573 map on in the car. I know its been a long time coming haha It took so long because i really haven't driven the car much and wanted to get some more miles on the motor before using that map so I have been driving it on my 490whp map all the time. Well all i can say is WOW. Chris and the guys over at EFI did an amazing job, the car pulled so strong and just kept pulling, felt amazing. Shes now back in the garage rocking the 490 map till another beautiful day haha
