so I got a rediculous question about tires that should be quite easy to answer.
I have a new set of wheels + rubbers that I need to get mounted. Can I take it to a shop and have them mounted without the car being there? I am unfamiliar with the tool used to mount tires and wasn't sure if the car needed to be there or not.
Thanks for the help!

Nope, car not needed. they dismount the wheel to retire it anyways if it was on the car.

Maybe even charge you less if you just bring everything in!

Indeed. All you need are tires, and wheels. All they do with the car if you bring that is take the wheels off of it, and then put them back on when they're done.

Sounds like they took advantage of you. It takes much less time if they dont have to take them off + put them back on.

Any place you can find that does a good job with 18's and not Fing your wheels is worth it but still need to check on if there is a rate difference on dismounted sets.
