so my slave and master cylinders went on my Wrx swapped gc, I replce both bleed the clutch and it feels fine, I start the car and it will not go in any gear, so I try starting it in first and my car lurtches forward and stalls and my starter ****s the bed, put the new starter in today and I'm still having the same issue, did I not bleed the clutch well enough? Cause I've gone through 2 bottle of brake fluid just bleeding it, my Subie tech is stumped so just seeing if anyone here has any ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

1. did you at anypoint disconnect the clutch cable?
2. dd you at any point disconnect the throwout fork?
3. pull your console apart and check your shifter linkage?

the fork is a problem people usually have right? I've heard that before somewhere but I can't remember...

the throwout fork is tricky.... I need to know what he did before I can really guess what the problemo is.

Ok here's the deal. The slave and master where changed and bled. The fork wasn't touched. Besides the ram on the slave cylinder touching it. (this is my brother who is having the problem) I remember when me and my mechanic did mine you could move the fork relatively easy. His does feel stiff as opposed to mine. I was able to pull my fork forward (toward the front of the car ) and his only is going back like 1/2". I'm trying to help him solve this also but I'm stumped. Any help opinions or ideas are appreciated. Thanks guys.

So it looks like my throwout fork is split in 2, it's at the mechanics right now he's pulling the motor in the next couple days so we should see the extent of the damages hopefully she's ready by WBM or I may cry haha I'll keep you guys posted

So it gets worse...... My clutch is shot, found an ACT HD for $500 hoping they can 2day ship it so I can have it in by the weekend.

So here's the damage list over the past oh 4 days:

Clutch fork-$30
Slave cylinder-$90
Master cylinder-$120
Starter-$140
ACT HD clutch-$500+shipping
Labor-at least $500
Yeah all this the week before WBM!!!! I'm cursed I swear

hey...I swapped an 07 Fxt 5spd into my o2 WRX and learned alot about the clutch system (due to, needing an entire clutch set for the forester). there are a few of things that stand out to me: (1) you might need to bleed the clutch a few times due to air being stuck. And to add to the need of bleeding more, did you bleed the master and slave in or out of the car? if in the car, there is a good chance there is air trapped because of the angle they (the master and slave) sit at. (2) it is possible that the clutch fork "fell". It doesn't take much to knock it down and if so, its a pain in the butt to get it back up into its correct location.
Hope this helps...
