yaaaaaaay! I toasted my 3rd gear getting on the highway yesterday.

The gods of power must love me though because I found a local replacement almost immediately.

Just thought I'd share.

dayman

nah clutch is already an ACT street disk. I will, however, be doing the pilot bearing which has been bad for some time now.

You blew 3rd on a V6?! Must have been beaten on in the original car or something. I hope i never blow my V6 RA once it comes in.

that stinks but its great you sourced a replacement so fast!

dayman

No six speed. What do you guys think I'm made of money? :p It's another JDM 5-speed. This one is out of the Ver4. Supposedly it only has 18k miles and came from an unmodded car, so I think I'm getting a better tranny than the one that was in there.

Tranny is out. New one goes in today, along with KYB AGX's and Version 6 RA springs.

dayman

Little update: new transmission is in, just need to attach the slave cylinder, connect the sensors, attach the driveshaft, and attach the intercooler.

Everything is back together. I forgot the extra ground on the starter, and the bushing on the end of the shifter fork is ****ty so i'm gonna use my old one...I'll do that later today. At least it drives now.

invidia one is going on. The stock one is catless, so it's basically the same.

yep, the curse of 4.44

Sorry to hear about your tranny Rob. Kudos on the RA gear. If you want a case to build, I have two of them

diff ratio's dont reall have anything to do with matching to gear set. (speedo will be off a little this route) But, If you wanted a different f/d you would have to change them, so long as they match front and back you will not have diff eating issues. I will be changing out mainshaft all 5 gears and speedo gear.
