HOVER SVX!

J/K
So my spring perchs were GONE and I needed to deal with the saggin as a result along with the rubbing from the too soft a spring rate and 245's for tires pushing the edges a bit. So I'll add a write-up once i get a chance but here are the pics of the change. So much smoother cornering despite the bouncier ride but I'll be getting helper springs for the front to correct that for daily driving. Drool your hearts out!
Ewww... gap!

Solution?

This is how it should have looked to start with.

Here's teh gap in the rear after the fact. Not too much change but enough indeed.

And the perspective shots!

Is adjusting these easy and did you need an alignment? I also wonder how they hold up in the winter!

Height adjustment is just loosening the lower lock and turning the assembly till it's down or up to the height you want. then just re tighten the lower lock and done. IF you have enough space to reach in your wheels you don't even have to take off your wheels but still easier to get a grip to turn it with them off. I got an alignment 2 weeks ago. So the tires that were in the front a bit worn.:o They are on the back now and it's all good.

Who does corner balancing anyway? Are there any shops around NH that can setup coil overs professionally?

No. :( Not yet worth it... Okay not worth the cost.

They only rubbed on the pass side before from the LACK of rear pass spring perch, and the looseness of the stock suspension.

Synaptic3 in Candia. I"ll make sure when I'm done the Impreza to have them corner balance it. I'll be sending it there anyways for fine tuning the exhaust and doing my wiring and tune.

forgot to say this but your car looked damn good at the manch meet 3 :D
what setting are you running on now? soft-middle-hard? I'm running the middle settings now but I'm changing it up to see what I like best for ride quality :)

they are only height adjustable. :( I also really need to get the car corner balanced and the coils preloaded better. the front pass is WAY too loose and lets that corner travel too much and the tire rubs on tight left turns from it. :o

I'll make sure to get some. Deffinately so since then the "nipple" doesn't show that I still haven't gotten fixxed. Been busy with work. Nect thing up on the car will be exhaust so I think I'm gonna take it over to Synaptic 3 and see what they can do about it and have the corner balance it depending on cost. Want to have the exhaust taken care of before the Super Meet and the Dyno runs.

This goes for corner balance on the 4th of next month. :D Anyone got any extended camber bolts for sale or suggestions on ones to get? I posted a thread and no one responded. :(

So i basicly need to save to either build a whole new set for the SVX or save to rebuild my set on there.... All the rings are frozen in place... Tried to get a corner balance and 4hrs and Synaptic3 could only get 2 rings free without taking anything off the car. So decided they are staying as is for now. Atleast they hooked me up with camber bolts and best possible alignment that will give the adjustment amount I need to run everything close to level while I try to figure out my next move.....

You looked at some BC Racing coils?

BC are junk. IMO They are made int eh same facility with the same parts as Megan's and those were trash. I mean I've heard good things but maybe all those people got lucky or don't winter the sets or something.

Honestly, only complaint I've heard from anyone is that they have a clunking noise. No failures, nothing else bad except for a clunk -- let's face it, Subaru's have a knack for clunking, rattling, and making all sorts of noises anyways, so not that big of a deal I wouldn't think.
Same thing with Megans. Normally Megan stuff is junk, but I guess they're coilovers don't suck.
Whatever. I'm going STi Tarmac + AGX's and then probably get some Bilstein coilovers someday after college is done with.

Well I could dig up a pic of the Megan's from when I pulled them off my wagon before I sold them but that would be a waist of time. Either way I need to focus like full force on the wagon and just squirel a little away to get with the Coilover on the SVX maybe next year. Basicly aside from getting a new winter wheel/tire set for the SVX and fixxing the exhaust again for inspection I'm not spending any money on it till next year. Hopefully after I've got the Wagon running. I still have a ways to spend on the wagon but luckily I have enough parts to keep me pretty busy at the moment.
