You have a few options. Anything from a GC RS works ('98 Goldies, '99 RS 5-spokes, '00-'01 RS 6-spokes.) 16-inch WRX wheels require spacers (and I'm personally not a fan of spacers) Any 17-inch wheel should work, especially worth note are newer WRX wheels, saw a set from an '08 go on NESIC Classifieds for $200 the other day, brand spankin' new.

Delta offers several cam options, 1k grind for torque -- great daily driver cams. The 2k which has a more power oriented band, and I believe they offer a 3k as well for straight top end power.

I was, but went a different direction. You can literally use all stock WRX stuff. header, up pipe, turbo, turbo back exhaust, injectors and whatnot. I think the only things are the turbo needs to be re-clocked and you need a piggy back ecu (Greddy eManage or equivalent)

I'm not sure if the td04 can be clocked, can it? I'm pretty sure you can put a silicone 90 degree coupler on the turbo for the intake just like the older legacys and jdm wrx's have there cast turbo!
I've actually got a buddy who has a jdm turbo that would be mint for a diy kit like this! I've also got a usdm up-pipe that I could sell with the wrx manifold :D

I installed an eBay N1 style exhaust on my son's OBS. Bu-bye crusty rotten mess...HELLO fatty SS mellon shooter. I'll take some pics soon.

It went pretty good for being $118 shipped. All I needed was to cut the cat flange off and weld on a regular 2-hole flat flange.

Spare motor in hand! :) Next part. Planning the build of the spare EG33. I'm thinking having the heads ported at least on the intake side and maybe even fully rebuild. Debating dropping the hydro and going to solid in them as is seems most people are... But that may not be needed what's so ever with the NA builds. Maybe cam regrinds. Not sure yet. Don't want to drop a ton of money on the SVX right now unless it's fixxing serious problems. So unless i'm fixing my door issues or doing a new suspension I think I'll be fine at this and some light exhaust. Gotta send off my Mega Squirt to a get wired up and played with. That's the biggest key for the engine will be getting a full control over it. I hope I can drop close to 14's after this.

Give us reports on the way. Them 3.3s are a lot more versatile these days. The cars they came in are getting old but the engines aren't. A guy in Maine dropped one in his impreza. I hear the car trashes tires better than a WRX.

Hey careful what you say about my fat whale! He may be heavy but he looks slick and is still fun! But yes will update as I go along. Have a few things to debate on the build.
And yeah Gabe told me about the 96' OBS with the EG33. And yeah H6=Monster TQ. I want the wheels he has off the parts SVX he had. 5x114.3 and will clear brembos so I can use them on both cars! ;)

Big debates are on head work and pistons mostly. The rest is pretty straight forward on what's gonna happen. I can't waitto get the MS2 pulled in and running the car! One nice part of obd1! I can run standalone!

Indeed look at what SHTBRX22 has stated. For the best possible resources on NA Subies though RS25.com will be a good second sourceto join on an look what people are running. I love NES but frankly we don't have the knowledge base of a larger forum like RS25. There are a lot of us on here that are good with answers or links to info... Just sometimes it's full of "I think" or "I'm not 100% sure". But yes like any motor increasing air and fuel flows in proper percentages will help greatly. As always the best think for any car you can do is reduce weight. Luckily since you are 02 you have a lot more tuning options availabe. There is also always swapping or retrofitting a forced induction system.

So, I got it all done tonight. (32 minutes)she's in there with the STi LSD oil. world of difference, really. I attempted pulling out of the same intersection that I teetered on before and almost got t-boned. this time the car kept on moving with no slip on the turn. went to some slippery lot, and she puts the power evenly out back so much better. more fun, and safer. one of my best investments yet. *RS steering wheel installed in the 97OBS. Had to use original air bag. 2000 RS bag connector is different. Soooo much better feel. WRX 6 disc installed..THANKS Bu11dogg!!. That put the final nail in the Left front speaker. Put the silencer in the mellon shooter. Sounds nice outside, dont hear anything inside.

* Washed the 2.5i wagon 4 times. Still kinda dirty here and there. No damage to anything from rallyX. Momo/WRX steering wheel in the works. Trying to find a way to buy a nearly new LSD rear diff. Probably not going to happen anytime soon. 6 disc WRX stereo installed. Better quality sound, I like.

* Forester, nothing new except the 08 WRX 17s for summah time.
* Legacy is still all stock. I gotta do something secretly about that eventually.

oem exhaust doesnt give it much sound, unfortunately but the flow is far better than what you get with our itty bitty NA exhausts so you'll notice a little noise out of it, but nothing major as you noticed.

Exactly. It doesn't bug me a whole lot, seeing as the car is entirely focused on not attracting attention, but I'd like a little something.

That said, the main reason for the installing of it is that the piping is the perfect 2.25 inch I.D. and thus ideal for an N/A application. Other important reasons were tiny pricetag and the fact that my axleback piping split completely in half a week ago, leaving the Battle Legacy's stock muffler dragging on the ground. :unamused:
