look what I created

I was bored and deciced to try it. For all you Legacy owners you know that we cant have a pillar pod. One reason being that there is an airbag in the pillar, and the part is not produced.

I took an extra pillar pod to a different car we had at the shop and a stock pillar and got creative.

First I sized the two together to see where I need to cut the pod. I trimmed the ends to fit more securely yo the stock pillar. Then I used a hot glue gun to sopt a couple of drops to hold it in place.

Second I streched som cloth over the edges, to help shape the pieces to together. I used fiberglass resin to hold the shape. Once I the resin dried I sanded it down and moved to the next step.

The third step was some bondo a qiuck skim coat to seal any imperfections. Then some more sanding to perfect shape.

Fourth step will be to wrap with some cloth to be determind on tues when stores are open.

hopefully I will never find out.... I used all stock tabs and clips I can only hope it will do the same as a stock

It either hits you in your mellon or the steering wheel air bag might deflect it enough not to poke you in your eye. I will have to see a picture of bags deployed...that cover should stay at the windshield...interesting. Great idea though!!!!
