I'm not asking about crashes involving drunk drivers or fatalities, just crashes from steping over the limit or some kind of failure on car or driver
mine was in my 1986 olds cutlass supreme i was messing are doing fish tales on a wet tar and over corrected one of my turns and put the nose up it a tree.then had to call the cops cause no tow truck would tow it with out the polices permission.the reason i needed the tow truck was when i hit the tree i lost rev. in the tranny and could not back away from the tree.the car was still driveable after just the nose was shifted off to the right about 2" and now had no rev. :(

A little over 2 months ago i was driving my 93 jeep warngler to pick my gf up to go to work and the guy in front of me statred to slide out so i hit the breaks to avoid him and slid into oncoming traffic at over 50 mph and smashed head on into a car. I had no seat belt on and im not sure if your familer with those interiors but its all steel. some how lucky for me i didnt die but my poor jeep did. My face hit the windsheild so hard there ia a face imprint and part of my mow hawk was stuck to the window lol. the impact was so hard it bent the frame in the back up and broke one side right in half. lucky for me i just broke my femur and some ribs and i had a bruised lung.

I hit a guard rail doing 60ish. Fell asleep at the wheel, bounced off rail, woke up, kept driving. All the windows on the driver's side were gone. Most of the glass ended up in my neck, face, and fore head. All cuts were really very minor. Very little blood made it to my white t-shirt, which freaked out Mom once she saw me. She caught me picking glass out of myself and smacked me upside the good side of my head.
However, this is the crash that hurt my feelings the most.
Sad sad day.

back in 94, i was on my way back to home, macon, ga, from charleston and fell asleep at the wheel of my mitsubishi mighty max. truck was new and drove straight as an arrow...for how long i dont know. i was driving in the right lane on the interstate, woke up on the left rumble strip heading for the woods. steered hard back and slid across the road to the right grass. i was trying to correct back to the road when the right front folded and popped digging the rim into the grass. the truck went end over end three times and i was hit in the head by the back window when it popped into the truck and then out. had some bruises and a knot on my head. truck was toast. i will see if i can find a pic. got picked up by a ga state trooper that was ex navy...lucky night all the way round.

Back in September, 1987 I T-boned a car while traveling approx. 50mph on my 1984 Honda Nighthawk S. I impacted the passenger side of the car between the front fender and door. After impact I launched over the hood and was marked at 65 feet from the crash site. All I got was a broken/dislocated left ankle and road rash on my palms from landing.
The passenger had a small cut on her brow from the glass I shattered with my elbow as I launched...

heres a few of my pics. few months after graduation I hydro-planed my 2002 Focus into a HHUGE tree. I didnt have my seatbelt on and I smashed my face on the steering whee. The tree didnt budge and my car then proceeded to flip over sideways twice down a ditch. It was downpouring. I split my jaw open, lost my 4 bottom teeth and had to had reconstructive surgery. I was then in the hospital for a week then had my mouth wired shut for a few months......but i lived!!!! :D

So leaving work at 10pm on St. Patty's night (didn't even have a chance to drink) headed home on my lightly modded Yamaha zuma. I was half way home where i decided to take a short detour, off Rt.5&10, to a side road that just goes off to the side up and back down to 5&10 and i'm doing about 45mph cresting the top where the road then turns slightly left and down (lighting is upgraded but still sucks). I saw some dirt covered ice/snow that was partially in the road so i moved to the left but as i got closer it was a whole patch of ice/hard snow that was around 5-6 inces tall that went all the way to the yellow lines, at this point and time it's was way to late to do anything about it. I hit it dead on, blacked out on take off, remembering the feeling of not haveing a scooter between my legs anymore. Awoke with the wind knocked out of me from landing on my side i assume, on the other side of the road next to the gaurd rail, looked up, scooter was still running and under the same gaurd rail. I couldn't stand up so in the process of crawling over to shut it off two cars drove around me and kept going a third car stopped, i unwedged the scooter from the gaurd rail picked up my headlights scooter started back up with exhaust disconnected, drove home using the light from my right hand blinker. I passed an ambulance on my way home going in my crashed direction. Ended up breaking my shoulder and seperated my collar bone as well. Broke 3 pieces of plastic that cost a total of $32.00

worst crash for me to date...
Wall St. 2008....still not sure if I lived through it...
when I first got my license I was on Huintington Ave in Boston; between Symphony hall and NorthEastern... Dude blew a red light, scurried around a MBTA green line train in the middle and basically T-boned me.
My head broke the windshield, side window and somehow the steering wheel got cracked...Lost alot of blood via a sliced head, a neato concussion (one of about a dozen), several stitches in my head & shin and my left shoulder and upper turned a neato shade of black, blue, brown, purple and green. several hours and some really insulting examinations proved that I had no internal injuries or bleeding..
I have actually done more damage to myself on a soccer field than in a car....
Bump! any more stories???

Probably the only one I have been in. Involved the North Berwick PD last April. As I was traveling down Rt 4 in NB headed south towards the mother land (South Berwick) I found myself behind a NB police car. Traveling north bound was a group of five or so cars, which contained a white dodge charger. For what ever reason the charger thought it to be a good idea to pass the four cars in front of it, and speed North bound down Rt 4. After witnessing the Charger speed past him the NB officer pulled the car to the right side of the road and put his blue lights on. Now I am thinking OK he knows I am behind him because I have been there for the past five or so miles. At this point I found myself with two choices. Lock my brakes up and risk running into him or SAFELY (or so I thought) go around him and continue south. As I am passing him he obviously couldn't control the hard on he had to go chase down the speeder and he pulls out smashing into the rear passenger side of my car sending me sideways across both lanes of traffic. Had another car been coming the other way I probably would have been killed. But I walked away. A few months after the SAME officer flipped his patrol car....hmmmm. Oh when he hit me he also had a TRAINEE in the vehicle with him. Accident ruled NOT MY FAULT FTW

In December of 1999 I was on my way to work. Black ice EVERYWHERE. My 1990 Ford Bronco slid across the road on a down-hill turn, and head-on into a speeding Isuzu Trooper. I've worn my seat belt ever since.
Smashed my face up real good, kicked my door open, and got the other driver out of her car (which was starting to catch fire). The accident was deemed not at fault for both of us, even though she was doing 45 in a densely populated residential area with a limit of 30.
Fortunately for me, I was running late that day. Where I was sliding off the road is a bus stop for elementary students, and I would have run right into them.

I went to the movies with this guy I liked many years ago. He had a sick 76 (i think) Firebird. It had just snowed about 3 inches nbd. Well on the way there he decideds to try and impress me *rolls eyes* and does a donut on one of the back roads. Well we hit a telephone pole on my side the window smashed and i cut my hands and head. Huge dent, looked like he got tboned by a box truck.

MY WORST Accident is not that bad i hit a 93 honda accord head on with my 93 loyale wagon.totaled the honda drove my car home with just a broken blinker lens:lol: the honda had no headlights or grille radiator gone folded the hood up and shatterd the moon roof. :rofl:totalled and i hit him on purpose cuz him and his friends were trying to start **** following me everywhere. then i come to the traffic circle and they decided to block me in by sending a car backwards down the traffic circle. so i pushed the little 4wd button on my shifter and dropped it into first gear and floored it. the cops were called. the officer that came to the scene after telling him the storie were they wanted to gang up on me. they ruled it was his fault and that it was conciderd intrapment. and that i was in fear of my life and he had to pay for my damages which were only like $75

I totaled my 1998 Camry on my way to work on December 8th 2008. There's a spot on Emery's Bridge Rd heading away from South Berwick after you pass Witchtrot Rd, where the road takes a left turn and dips downhill. I wasn't driving too fast, must have hit a patch of black ice and started to spin (left). I cut the wheel to compensate and recovered most of the spin. The only problem was that I was off the road when the spin stopped and was heading into the ditch. However, a tree (oak I think) was nice enough to stop my car before it went into the ditch. So I had a head-on collision with a tree. The airbags went off, the passenger airbag cracked the windshield, hood buckled, and engine rocked back. My injuries included a bump just below my left knee from the dashboard (I was wearing my seat belt), a bad taste in my mouth from airbag dust, and 20oz of luke-warm chai tea EVERYWHERE. The buttons on my engine code reader and garage-door opener are still a little sticky. I was a little upset because that car hadn't reached middle age...only 137k miles.

the only bad one i have been in i was driving. My sister and i were going down putney road in brattleboro when a mailman decided to cross the street without a crosswalk on a very busy section of the road. there was water all over the road from melted snow and a toyota tacoma in front of us had to slam on their brakes not to hit the guy. well we couldnt stop and flew into the back of the truck. Our Chevy Trailblazer afterwards

My worst involved one of these:

http://www.colrainma.com/gg/ggnight.jpg
A shortage of these:
http://www.atozmotorspares.co.uk/suppliers/mintexpads.jpg
And a dog.
The story:
Driving down that hill (I was a passenger) at a slow rate of speed. I was not aware of the condition of the brakes. The owner was, but was driving in low gear so it wasn't a problem... until the dog jumped from the back and knocked the truck out of gear.
By the time he was able to get the dog out of the way and get it back into gear, we were cruising along quite a bit faster. At the bottom, you have to take a right turn to go across a small bridge. The judgement call was made that trying to make the turn would have likely rolled the truck, so instead we continued straight. At the bottom, was a swampy trench followed by another steep uphill... steep enough for the bumper to just hit instead of us driving through it.
There was another truck on the hill going down that we passed on the way that said we were probably doing about 30 when we hit the bottom of the hill. I ended up going out and over the windshield (all of us went flying) and landed clear of the truck in the mud that we'd plowed into.
Injuries: None too serious. The worst out of all 3 of us was my arm, which had been bracing myself on the top of the windshield. My entire arm was briused up to my elbow, which hit the frame on the way by as well. I didn't have much movement in it for a few days without a lot of pain, and couldn't put significant weight on it for quite some time after. Otherwise... we all walked away.
Very lucky overall.

I t-boned a chrysler new yorker that cut me off while I was driving my toyota paseo:lol:. I was on a ONE WAY so the crackhead lady only had to check one direction:spin:. I had about 25 feet to skid from 60 to prolly 30ish and smacked her front drivers side hard. No belt=windshield vs face...owww. To make things even better she had no insurance so i had to sue her and wait 6 months before i saw any money. It sucked but had I not crashed that day I would never have gotten my first t-legacy and become a subie nut.
