Finally found the time to swap the center and rear diffs on tuesday. I also replaced the shifter bushing/knuckle assembly cause the one that was in there was trashed. Now I have a new excellent rear end. The car feels so tight now, I love it. Plus there's the psychological feeling of not having a problem with your car. Car is tip top now, woo!
Congrats!! it is always a good feeling to get a car back into running shape. Puts your mind at ease when your driving so you don't have to worry about the car, just enjoy the ride.

yeah, just a normal VC for the center. The rear diff is an actual V5/6 4.444 LSD.

So how were you driving it beforehand? FWD?

It was AWD, but his center and rear diffs were mismatched.

and actually, I was completely wrong. I pulled the cover on the rear diff and it's a 4.444, so the center diff just went bad...
