Small but makes a difference. At very minimum for looks anyways. So who runs what? I wanted to see what people are picking as very minumum that I need to get another set or two in a week or two. Performance wise I was looking for a good light set or at least strong without loosing out and adding weight where i can avoid it.(SVX is heavy enough as it is and Impreza will be track anticipated build while keeping comfort for DD.)

I just picked up the Muteki Blue spline tuner lug nuts off from ebay.
seem lighter than stock and look pretty nice aswell. they're the slim design so they work perfect with my new aftermarket wheels :)
and they come with a special key so it's harder to steal my wheels :spin:

Yeah I've seen those. I've also considered looking for Nismo lugs and wheel studs. They are apparently stronger and I might be remembering them as being lighter too.

Plus one for muteki. I have the SR48's Aluminum lugs are nice but good old fashioned hardened steel lugs are better and my book. My favorite lugs are good old mcgard spline drive lugs though.

I've got Gorilla black aluminum spline lugs. I wouldn't go with regular polished chrome lugs ever again due to how badly and quickly they rust.

Project Kics, nice rotating seat.

Mcguard is the same but 100-200 less a set.

The set I found of McGuards was around $90 with locks. The Project Kics quote I got from a PM to a dealer was $175. So yeah they are more money, I don't know about 1-200 less.

I have seen the kics going for $200+ at places and yeah $90 is about right for McGuards.

I had some Work RS Blue Matte lugs that I sold recently because they were too big for my new wheel size. Ordered up a set of McGard Splines in Black. They're waiting to go on with the wheels but they are your typical spline lug. Good quality.

i like my mcgards, the finish is high quality and they havent rusted yet, also the free spinning bearing design doesnt seize up and dig into the wheels like regular locks and lugs.

Yeah, i need a new set for both my cars. I want to get the Gorilla's but everytime i swing by VIP to pick up a set (only place I've seen around here with a set) they either have the wrong size or none in stock. :unamused:

Really? The one by me in Exeter has never given me a problem. When i had ordered m 17"s back in 05 or 06 They called me to double check if a pin head sized blob on the paint was okay with me before doing anything. I was just like"Umm... yeah just mount'em. Even if I were gonna do a show that wouldn't be anything." I mean I just like the looks and they were getting driven on. They were likely to get much worse than a stupid pin sized blob driving home.

It's getting next to impossible to find a reliable place in the area to find for that too. Phelp's in Springfaild (;)) was the place I used to use, and they've sold out, and I've heard some bad stories about them since that, so now I'm all :unamused: trying to find a new tire place.
