YOu can stretch but BAD idea. get seperate tires at least 235 or 245 or get a narrower rim. 8.5 is excessive on a street tire. What are these going on Wagon or sedan?

its a sedan, i woldnt try to run these, ive got 18x8 with 225 40 18 tires, and they fit but its pretty close to rubbing. I believe the 04-05 wrx have a bit more clearance due to the mild fender flare, so yours would be even tighter. With camber and or wheel spacers these may fit, but it would be a struggle. for stretching its tough cause the next any larger tire is gonna throw your speedo off, the tires on mine are mildly stretched, add another half inch and i dont think the tire would wear correctly.
