hey does anyone know if the jdm wrx tranny is any stronger than the usdm 5 speed? I'm not searching for myself but for another member who isn't having any luck searching for results.

I'll keep searching around and if I come across anything I'll post it up...

the jdm wrx 5 speed, they're only $300 with 30k miles from japan with $500 shipping. my friend whos looking for a tranny sent me this link with these prices

I might be able to get it for your friend cheaper than that... Figure out what you can about the tranny's power... I'm not sure myself, but I know where to get one!

would it be at all possible if I could get a price quote for both a jdm wrx and sti tranny? my buds still not sure what to go with since hes got limited funds...

I just met limited funds so he can't go with a usdm sti tranny and all the fixins:lol:

Well it's still money anytime STi is brought into anything. I"m spending 3k for all my V6 STi RA 5speed and the rear diff and loose ends to swap it in my GF.

Damn. That is what I am selling my STI 6 speed and swap stuff for.

Whoa whoa whoa. Mine is technically still up for sale. 04 STI tranny 14k miles, 3.9 R160 auto driveshaft and some small other stuff. $3100

The JDM WRX trannies are a bit stronger then the US WRX ones. Also thats a good price.
