Ok, so got back from skiing at Jay Peak lastnight and stopped to drop off my buddy in Manchester. Left my car running with ebrake on for about 5 mins while we unloaded. I went to leave and the brake pedal felt very stiff, like the brakes were being engaged. I was on a slight incline and my car wouldnt move at all...like I was pressing the brake.
I bought the car used with 37K on it. Not sure on the maintentence with the brakes. I drove home this morning and rotors were stone cold when I got home so I'm not sure what to say. Normally brakes are easy to press in and come back but mine seemed to be pressed in always. Was thinking about flushing fluid soon and I think I need to now. Brakes are not normal. Any one have any ideas or reccomendations?
Thanks,
Chad

Sounds like last night you could have had some ice build up on your rotors. I try not to use my ebrake in the winter. If it was to stick, and you went, you can crack a rotor pretty easily.
When you left this morning, restate what the problem was again. It isn't too clear if you had an issue this morning or not. I should be able to help.

Yeah...I normally try not to use my ebrake in the winter for that reason. This morning I had the same issue. Brake would stick on and not come back up like it normally does. If I pulled the brake pedal toward me with my hand the car would start moving again, although there was very very little pedal movement, but that little bit made the difference. Everytime I stopped this morning I made sure I pulled the brake pedal toward me so I wasnt wearing the pads/rotors. I checked when I got home and rotor/pads seemed to be fine, not hot or overheating at all. If I don't pull up on the brakes they will stick on slightly...were I could drive but if just coasting slowly I will come to a stop much faster than normal. Could air in the lines be the problem?:dunno:

My ebrake (brakes) stuck a little after some snow build-up but have never had an issue with them otherwise

Ive had that problem before too. This is different though. I went to car wash to spray them down with warm water this morning just to make sure but still had issues.

have you checked the fluid level? Could air have got into the system ?

Fluid is dead on....air is a possibility. Not sure how but that is my guess as of now.
