+1 would be sweet as hell.
I am still waiting for Subaru to one day find a way to move their boxer engine back further in the chassis. Hell stick a Boxer 6 in there with a supercharger.
If only they would listen to me!

now there's an idea... I myself would prefer a turbo, but an H6 would be awsome!!!

That's pretty neat. This new gen of STI is very slowly growing on me.

They work better with Turbos in my opinion. They provide hella low lag times and plenty of low end before the spool anyways. Besides just wouldn't be the same with a SC over a TC. Also hard to find space in the engine bay for the SC. Any you can always move the engine back a bit of your own volition. I think you can manage about an inch to incha nd a half back.

Things need to be very custom then. Moving the drivetrain back means custom driveshaft. Custom exhaust. I would love to see the H6 with a supercharger. Roots style would suffice to make it fit in the engine bay perfectly. You could reduce a lot of things and make it that much better. No more downpipe and turbo making you have the engine that far forrward in the chassis. You could move it back very far depending on the front CV shafts. Possibly some kind of adapter maybe or best of both worlds dump the FWD and reduce weight big time in the transmission and have a RWD platform. Subaru could make an amazing RWD car. I wish they would :(

I'd like to see a increased rear bias. Say a 20/80 front/rear tourqe split. Something more along the lines of a R34 GT-R. I don't know though. I just think they need to bring the 3.0R to the Impreza, Forester, or next small platform they release in the US. Ever seen the Subi Kei cars? Those look like fun but just too small for me. 6'3":o I'll take the 6 pots though for my GF. 4/2's for now will do to stop her.

lower stance, more hp, and more aeordynamic, should be a monster
<----- was hoping they changed the taillight design
mid 2009? believe it when i see it

Slightly OT: If I bought a '08+ Impreza it'd get this taillight treatment. Problem solved.

so if the WRX is 28k and the STi is 38k than the Spec C must be 48k according to the subaru overpricing scale

haha yeah. Still though. You can only go so far with a platform that fundamentally is flawed for what I am talking about. EveN an EVO is better off than an STI in those respects. The EVO has much more of it's weight over the front wheels instead of in front of the front wheels. It's AWD system is not as good as Subarus but it's basic design. Subaru like to say well blah blah blah everything is symetrical and it is superior. In a way yes it is but in another more important way it is not. In a car meant to be sporty you want as much of the weight over the two axles or centralized on the chassis as possible.
Subaru's all have the weight so far forward on the chassis that you max out front grip much faster than a car with a better rear weight Bias.
Like the R34 the STI has similar weight bias although they are so totally different and R34 is about a billion times better.
