Pastrana's 199 Lives to Air on TV

I went to the movie theatre and checked this out last year, great film.

The recently released documentary on Subaru Rally Team USA driver & Freestyle MX legend Travis Pastrana called "199 Lives" will air on MTV & MTV2 several times over the coming week. It's well worth watching (or recording) if you have the time. The air dates & times for the broadcast are listed below if you'd like to check it out - the first showing of the show will be this evening at 10:00pm on MTV2:

It's really good. It covers his whole life and everything he has done. Even has clips from the OLD Dirtbike Videos I used to watch. Can't wait to see it again!

ya it was pretty crazy, I didn't realize he had a bad car accident that allmose ended it for him when he was 18. I know this sounds corny but hes my hero:) hes a machine:D

he also broke his back when he was 16. he cased a jump real bad.. they said he will never race again. one of my heroes aswell man. Balls the size of watermelons..

Yeah, Travis is really an amazing person. I've met him several times years ago when I raced motocross. So much natural talent and such a friendly and down-to-earth guy.

His back injury was really gnarly. I remember when it happened in 1998 when he was 14. His spine actually separated from his pelvis! :eek: Amazing that he actually survived.

I really hope that people that have recently become fans of Travis, whether it be through the X-Games or Subaru, take the time to look back through his old motocross racing days (which it sounds like this movie might touch on). What an amazing racer.

Travis was actually riding 125's when he was 12! Well, I use the term "riding" lightly. He was actually "man-handling" 125's when he was 12! :D

(I remember being dragged into trees on an XR80 when I was 12. :rofl: I can't imagine riding a 125 at that age)

I'm bummed that I've never seen this movie and that I won't be around tonight to catch it.
