just read through the info
some of it i understood
some i didnt
so the romraider product just has to be purchased and downloaded, then i would have to purchase the cable and get the other downloads (java/definitions etc.) right?
now i may have overlooked this, but does the romraider software walk you through the ecu changes?

The product can be purchased from the forum in the first link.
IIRC the program you down load gives you a start, but the actual tuning needs to be done by you.
The best bet is to find a map that will work for your car and adjust it to your individual car/mods (think cobb stg2)

and also, i noticed it said it could not be used to tune a usdm subaru built prior to 2001. mine is 97 usdm, so does this mean i am sol as far as this product is concerned?

i checked out the i-speed site and i noticed they're selling used coilovers from Ken Block's DC Shoes car, $1200.00

You are shocked at turbo Alitimas? Try turbo 3.5 6th gen Maximas with the 3.5L's. I can only imagine that in the 07+ altlimas. Especially the Nisimo AWD ones. I'd rather just get a GT-R at that point.(I'd rather get a GT-R at anypoint)
Thanks Randy. This may help with a friend's car, or if need be mine depending on funds. Damn finiky EZ's

IIRC, ULTIMATUC has the fastest 1st gen altima (1/4 mile) out there. And Ace has one of the nicest 240's I've seen and is wicked chill in person. Even after he almost got teabaged in his sleep...
EDIT: HAD the fastest... http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/forced-induction-forum-turbo-sc-tuning-technical-only/276316-first-11-sec-altima-ever.html

it would have to be from an 02-03 outback h6 with 5spd, and then i wouldnt be able to resist driveline + brakes from it too. i need to find a wrecked one and someone to help with the swappage, im not ballin' enuf to have ECS do it, tho i'd like to.
probably have to have them merge teh harnesses tho.

The po420 code is i'd say the most common I see at work. (Subaru dealership) Their cats and tight ass environmentally friendly ecus suck. Space out your rear o2 sensor(s) with anti-foulers. Reset your ecu. Should take 3+ driving cycles if it comes back on. GL
More on the subject of NA tuning. SAFC is great. Although that was in the Nissan world with the old sentra (b-13 se-r) with the SR20. I don't really see too many people on here or rs25 using them. Guess I never really looked though. I'd like to get something as I can use it once I add a snail under the hood too.

Or into putting our NA toys to the side and buying STi's...
Yeah PP6, GReddy eManage, and a few others are very viable. The ECU At one point could have been sent off to Cobb for a full reprogram but even then it's a set tune and not able to change. BTW These "piggy backs" are really intercepters for if you want to get into more hardcore reading about them. Piggy backs kinda mask the real signals being sent to the ECU trucking it like old school methods on V6's and V8's but doesn't work well on Subi's the PP6 and such instead run as extentions of the ECU and are much safer as it doesn't ignore key sensors.
