Can't wait for a cheap 2 seater, RWD--turbo!

The Fiat/Chrysler collision is the most interesting news in cars. Great in concept, but I'm trying to picture a 500 or Alfa 159 on the lot with a Dodge Ram. Americans aren't suddently going to rush to Italian cars, even if the new models are good.

This is one of those ideas that could be great in three years with some time to blend the products, but without an immediate turnaround, Chrysler can't last that long.

A story also mentioned that Fiat may be seeking a merger or buyout of Peugeot/Citroen. Big changes to come.

"Raaaandyyyyyyyy!" -Peter Griffin

Yeah, that totally ruins it for me, butthead.:)

Americans by and large seem to be ready for something different, after nearly 15 years of choking on trucks. I don't know that we'll ever get back the featherweight hot hatches of old, but cars like the 500 are a great place to start for commuters and enthusiasts alike. And if cars like the Fiat take off, maybe we'll finally see something like Alfa's gorgeous MiTo stateside(not holding my breath).

It's kinda funny. For the past 20 years while Fiat has been out of the US market, they still have the Fix It Again Tony stigmata. But yet, they've been working on their engineering and have some really, REALLY nice cars.

It's going to be weird watching Top Gear reviews on cars that are actually available in the US for a change.
