09 Impreza Blows Tranny at 3,000 Miles

My friends fiance bought the base model impreza, it has the automatic with trip tronic shifting or whatever it is, anyways, the car had 3,000 very easy miles when the tranny went out on it, very strange. Then the car dealership said they couldnt find her a rental, so then my friend went and yelled at them and then they said they found a car for her to use, it was a Chevy Cobalt with summer tires on it, my friend then went back and yelled at them again when his fiance called him and said they gave her a Chevy Cobalt with summer tires. They finally gave her a nissan Murano. No word on what went wrong with the Tranny.:unamused: I dont know what dealership it was but they suck.

Well, it happens, but a failed auto with "easy miles" seems very rare these days.

The only automatic I've ever heard of failing on an Impreza was a WRX very abusively drag raced and beaten hard on the road.

what are you talking about, its an automatic, and the girl that drives it drives slower than my grandma. At 3,000 miles there are no excuses for this.

Aye, that was a good night. I believe Mr. Iggdawg and Prity were there as well. I did far more damage there in a certain silver Goatwagon after you moved out, btw. :)
