I've seen that a few different companies make sway bars. Which companies are good? Are there any companies to avoid? What about size?
Here's what I've found so far:
http://rallitek.com/leou00.html
http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php?dealer=1&car=8&middle=3&small=16
In a side note...what about the aluminum skid-plate at the first link. Is it worth it?

I would say WHiteline is by far the best buy for the buck, they have excellent quality and i have never heard of having issues with them.
Skidplates on the other hand, depending on how or where you drive, they can be useless. Unless you are slammed too the ground, or rallycross your pretty much going to be fine with the stock plastic.
Rallitek sells good quality stuff, as for the japanparts linky, i believe those are stock sways, not aftermarket. Check into whiteline, spt, perrin, rallysport and even rallitek.

just make sure to size the bar for what you plan on doing with it
and +1 for whiteline

Be sure to grap endlinks when you pic out the sway bar you want!!! or else you may end up either bending your endlinks or even fliping your swaybar!!

I've got rallitek sways on my n/a. Perfect fitment on the rear swaybar. Front, not so much. Front is 22mm, rear is 22-24 adjustable. BTW, the rear swaybar is WRX compatible.

Look into Progress swaybars. They are on par with Whiteline.

I used whiteline.
NOT a fan of their endlinks, they corroded in 1 year :unamused:

If I upgrade the sway bars, should I also upgrade the endlinks?

I had a Perrin rear sway and endlinks on my '06 WRX wagon. The endlinks wore out quickly, and after months of emails and calls, Perrin finally gave me some new ones. I sold everything.

I run 24mm perrins front and rear with cartboy end links. I really love the set up over stock, and they make a big improvement on the track.

Kevin do your rear endlinks rub on the sway bar?

Kevin do your rear endlinks rub on the sway bar?
Not that I have noticed. Is that a common problem with my combo?

I have the 22mm perrins and rear hotchkis endlinks. My stock endlinks and the hotchkis ones rub on the side of the bar an make a low speed knocking noise. It is bothering the hell out of me and has gotten to the point where I want to replace it.

Hmmm that sucks. Maybe mine does it too, but my exhaust is so loud I might not hear it.

I pulled out the big whiteline rear bar and put the stock back in with the whiteline endlinks and stout mounts
I now get a slight knock at lower speeds too
